Uma Cucina, the Italian-inspired eatery of Uma by COMO, Ubud to partake in 2nd Ubud Food Festival with guest chef Margarita Fores
In its second year, the Ubud Food Festival is going local, focusing on Southeast Asian cuisine in all its facets; with Indonesia cooking at the centre stage.
Taking place from 27th – 29th May 2016, the Ubud Food Festival will feature live cooking demonstrations, culinary conversations, workshops and food tours in Bali’s cultural heartland.
As part of the festivities, Uma Cucina, the rustic Italian-inspired restaurant and lounge bar at Uma by COMO, Ubud invites the Filipina chef and restaurateur Margarita Fores – voted Best Female Chef in Asia at the San Pellegrino Fine Dining Awards 2015 – for a guest appearance on 28th May 2016.
Known for her passion of organic ingredients and the promotion of healthy eating, Margarita will work alongside the passionate team at Uma Cucina to create an exciting three course menu with ingredients from land and sea. Highlights include Prawn and Crab Raviolo and Millefoglie with Smoked Kesong Puti and Candied Tomatoes.
Diners can expect a relaxed evening on the open-air terrace or within the comforts of the restaurant whilst enjoying good food and contemporary cocktails with classic Italian influences and local Balinese flavours.
The three-course menu is priced at IDR 490,000 and additional IDR 210,000 to include wine pairing, per person. Prices are subject to tax and service charge.
