Taking place on 18, 19, 21, and 24 May at the National Stadium \u2013 her only Asian stop \u2013 fans from around the region (and beyond) descended on our little red dot to catch Mother Monster in her element. As the show began, fans jumped to their feet, screamed their lungs out, and rode the high. Gaga appeared on stage in a towering red dress and kicked off the show with Bloody Mary, a track from her Born This Way release (and yes, the one TikTok resurrected). She looked like a dystopian goddess and a haunted fashion doll in one.<\/p>\n<p>Now, let\u2019s get one thing out of the way before going further. If you\u2019ve seen clips from Coachella, you already know the vibes: moody visuals and a costume budget that could fund a Marvel movie. But here\u2019s the gag: Gaga performs like she\u2019s got something to prove. (She doesn\u2019t. Think Shakespearean tragedy meets fashion editorial, with razor-sharp choreography and a narrative that channels Gaga\u2019s past, present, and future. Across four acts, the exhilarating show unfolds with massive set pieces (Gaga in a sand pit! A piano covered with skulls!) and costumes that won\u2019t look out of place in an Alexander McQueen catalogue.<\/p>\n<p>Is the production over the top? Duh, but we\u2019ve come to expect that from Mother Monster. My companion, a first-timer to a show of this scale, walked out thoroughly impressed. They\u2019re still gagged over all the grandeur.<\/p>\n<p>If I had to choose, I\u2019d say the first act is my favourite. From the looks to the song selection, everything fell into place and showcased Gaga at her most potent: theatrical, high-octane, and unapologetically herself.<\/p>\n<h2>Her voice? Flawless. Her power? Yes, she sang live and left no crumbs. That\u2019s another thing you can expect from Lady Gaga: vocal dexterity. She breezily powered through the setlist \u2013 intense dance sequences, being lifted, and jumping around \u2013 without wavering.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of dancing, Gaga proved she could keep up with the choreography and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her backup dancers. The petite popstar has fibromyalgia, a chronic illness causing muscle pain, tenderness, and fatigue. Shivers down my spine.) There were moments, however, where the veil dropped and Mother showed a tenderness, particularly in her declaration of love for our city and her fans. Before performing Alejandro, Gaga unfurled the Singapore flag from where she stood before giving a heartfelt speech about being back after 13 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love it here so much,\u201d she told the over 47,000-strong crowd. Mother Monster exited the stage after an adorable farewell, and the lights came back on. Everyone looked like they had just stepped out of a rollercoaster \u2013 in the best way possible.<\/p>\n<p>Thirteen years is a long time, and Little Monsters are a patient lot. Is it worth the wait? The only right answer is a monstrous yes. This wasn\u2019t just another concert. It was a glitter-drenched, high-art, intergalactic pop culture baptism. Lady Gaga came to Singapore, leaving no soul un-snatched and no wig unsecured.<\/p>\n<p>If this is the kind of work she\u2019s presenting for Mayhem, the album\u2019s live debut proves it\u2019s more than just a promo cycle. Limited tickets are still available on Ticketmaster.<\/li>\n<li>Travel light by packing only essentials: a poncho or an umbrella, a <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/power-banks-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">power bank<\/a>, and a fan. Oh, don\u2019t forget your <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/loop-earplugs-singapore-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">earplugs<\/a>! Better yet, go bagless so that you can clear the security check faster.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid driving as parking spaces are limited. (Or you can park at Kallang or Tanjong Rhu and walk to the National Stadium.) Concert attendees are recommended to take the bus or <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/rating-mrt-train-lines-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MRT<\/a>. P.S. There are free shuttle buses to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/guide-to-jurong-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jurong<\/a> East and <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/guide-to-tampines-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tampines<\/a> after the show. Head to Gate 14 for the pick-up points.<\/li>\n<li>Bring cashless payment methods for merch or food. Queues for both will be long, so set aside plenty of time.<\/li>\n<li>Dress up! Many fans are sticking to a black colour palette to match the Mayhem era, but feel free to add your own flair.
