That\u2019s why our hearts go pitter-patter every time the cult beauty label launches new products. Here\u2019s what to look out for the next time you\u2019re stocking up on \u2013 or looking to gift \u2013 some stellar beauty essentials.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tacit<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aesop\u2019s latest fragrance is a long time coming. Its first scent, Marrakech \u2013 a heavy, sexy and raw scent that combines sensual neroli, jasmine, sandalwood, cedarwood and bergamot \u2013 was introduced some 10 years ago, and only re-released as Marrakech Intense last year.<\/p>\n

Tacit, on the other hand, is inspired by the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, though it really isn\u2019t what you\u2019d expect (no, it\u2019s neither fruity, floral nor musky). Formulated in collaboration with renowned perfumer C\u00e9line Barel (she conceived Jo Malone\u2019s Vanilla & Anise, as well as the 2015 limited edition Norell New York, retailing for a whopping $1,500), it\u2019s a sophisticated scent: crisp at the top with undertones of citrus, then sinking into an elusive, understated, and earthy scent with Basil Grand Vert at its heart. To us, Tacit is reminiscent of a fresh autumn morning along a salty lake, where you warm yourself with a nice hot toddy.<\/p>\n

\"AESOP<\/p>\n

Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Masque<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This latest addition to Aesop\u2019s Classic Skin Care range may very well be your new favourite skin saviour. Formulated for those exposed to dry, humid, or polluted environments (that\u2019s all of us!), the intensely hydrating treatment contains soothing botanicals like blue chamomile, bisabolol, and ginger root to balance, purify, calm, soothe, hydrate, soften, refresh and rejuvenate skin \u2013 yep, it\u2019s a toughie!<\/p>\n

One way to use it is to apply an even layer over face and neck, then leave it on for up to 30 minutes before gently wiping away excess with a warm damp cloth; or use a cotton wipe doused with B & Tea Balancing Toner. But what we like to do is to have it on as an overnight masque, so as to soak up all of its skin-loving nutrients and wake up looking better than when we hit the sack. Fret not, the emollient gel feels cooling, light and non-sticky on your skin, so it\u2019s easy to sleep in, and won\u2019t ruin your pillowcases. In the morning, our skin was nicely matte and soft to the touch. Blemishes were also lighter in appearance, too. $69<\/em><\/p>\n

Maps of Light<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a good way, Aesop scores low on the festive packaging and high on the swag front when it comes to Christmas coffrets. This year, Aesop has launched six holiday gift sets named after and themed around six constellations \u2013 Auriga, Cepheus, Perseus, Andromeda, Delphinus and Cassiopeia \u2013 and the Greek myths with which they are associated. How does this relate to the season of giving? Well, it\u2019s quite simple really: the constellations reflect human connections and relationships. Pretty deep, huh?<\/p>\n

Inside each minimalist and reusable tin boxes are different configurations of Aesop\u2019s best-selling products, including the Geranium Leaf series, the Ressurection Aromatique Hand Wash and Balm, the Camelia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream, and the acclaimed Parsley Seed range.
