Now that you\u2019re all grown up and the airwaves are streaming the likes of Ed Sheeren, The Weeknd, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/taylor-swift-live-in-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taylor Swift<\/a>, and Justin Bieber, BSB\u2019s \u201cAs Long as You Love Me\u201d and Britney\u2019s \u201c\u2026 Baby One More Time\u201d may seem like distant memories \u2013 but not at Fresh, a new(ish) <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/eat-drink\/bars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bar in Singapore<\/a> located at the second level of <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/cheap-and-chic-boutique-hotels-in-southeast-asia-15-cool-resorts-villas-and-capsule-accommodations-for-the-budget-traveller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">boutique hotel<\/a>, The Sultan.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The space, which used to house the now-defunct SingJazz Club, presents a serious case of \u201890s nostalgia, by the way of its graffiti-plastered walls, and the sounds that comes out of its jukebox. Songs you used to sing along to in the \u201890s and early 2000s are blasted inside this playful drinking den, and it\u2019s not uncommon to hear groups belt out \u2013 collectively and enthusiastically, after some drinks \u2013 to familiar tracks like \u201cGenie in a Bottle\u201d by Christina Aguilera. This is a bar that garners a lot of laughter from its patrons, who clearly left their civilities outside the door, just as managing director Shawn Kishore had intended.<\/p>\n<p>A convivial ambiance aside, Fresh serves some solid cocktails, with elevated classics like Xin Jia Po Sling, Kopi Negroni and the Fresh Sandy Sex. If you\u2019re big on rum and gin, give their in-house blends a go. If you worship beer, take your pick from\u00a0craft labels such as Tenant from Scotland, and Australian lager Moritz. On balmy nights, we suggest bringing your\u00a0drinks outside to the large alfresco area that&#8217;s fitted with high tables and chairs, as well as comfy cabanas.
