We took a peek before the official launch, so strap in for a wild ride as we unveil everything!<\/p>\n<p>P.S. the best time to visit is around 6pm &#8211; that\u2019s when we caught the golden hour. Walking among life-sized animatronic and sculpted dinosaurs nestled among the foliage was a dream come true. It\u2019s perfect for Jurassic Park and Jurassic World fans, families with not-so-little ones (who won\u2019t be intimidated by some of the more fearsome dinosaurs), and experience-seekers who love an interactive event.<\/p>\n<p>Wear comfy shoes and expect to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours wandering around and admiring the creatures. They stand at the entrance like a gentle greeting, with their necks stretching towards the sky, surrounded by ancient plants like ginkgoes and conifers. These tiny creatures are sprinkled throughout the landscape, so keep an eye out! These chubby tots are held by keepers who dole out fascinating nuggets of information about them.<\/p>\n<p>We almost cried tears of joy as we got to pet Bumpy, the cutest Ankylosaurus, and Stygimoloch, a plant-eater with spikes on its skull. Just be gentle and let the little ones come to you before caressing them. That\u2019s the majestic Tyrannosaurus rex wrecking a fence and causing a power outage in its fierce attempt at freedom. What a throwback to the classic film. This gigantic animatronic predator is a marvel to behold as it roars ferociously and prowls stealthily. Honestly, we were mesmerised for a good 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>If you notice the palm-like trees encircling it, these cycads are actually some of the world\u2019s oldest living plant species. Gaze up and you\u2019ll see a Pteranodon trio gliding above a pair of Velociraptors, who are locked in on their mountainside nests. Head up the stairs to wander through the evolution of plants, featuring cool 3D recreations of never-before-seen extinct species. It\u2019s a tranquil path that gives you a chance to relax before meeting the next dinosaur. You\u2019ll recognise the famous gate at once, so don\u2019t pretend you don\u2019t want a photo with this legendary landmark. There\u2019s also a photo op station where you can enact green screen poses. Don&#8217;t worry if you\u2019re camera-shy. Two Dilophosaurus await their chance to spit \u201cvenom\u201d (okay, water) on you, so be warned. Photography: Benita Lee<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If you\u2019re a fan of Chris Pratt\u2019s Velociraptors, you\u2019ll love coming face-to-face (literally, that\u2019s how close you can get) with them. Of course, the cunning creatures are muzzled, but they\u2019re still alert and observant. Just make movements near them and watch as the eyes of Charlie, Delta, and Echo track you. We were slightly disturbed.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling like something\u2019s missing? You\u2019re right. At the next turn, you\u2019ll spot an empty paddock belonging to Blue (she\u2019s the pack leader from Jurassic World). Don\u2019t be distracted by the huge screen with scenes from the movies. Avoid giving in to your intrusive thoughts and peeking into the door gaps by the huge sign that says, \u201cDanger! Trained handlers only\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Why? You guessed it, Blue will make an animatronic appearance, cool lighting and all. We\u2019d recommend you stand behind the line for this one, \u2018cos we got a shock when the raptor popped out.
