For folks who have strong affinities with Down Under (whether you’ve lived there or simply love the countries),\u00a0we’ve gathered a list of Aussie and Kiwi bars you can go to reminisce,\u00a0eat, drink and celebrate<\/a> special events like Anzac Day<\/a>, Australia Day, and Melbourne Cup in Singapore.<\/p>\n

South Coast<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Have some drinks at this laidback bistro and bar situated in uptown Marina Bay Sands. Overlooking the Singapore River, South Coast is a nice bar to idle your day away. The staff are real welcoming too \u2013 a big plus point if you\u2019re new in town

Moo Bar and Grill<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Barbie, booze and a good dose of laughter makes a complete Aussie meal in our opinion. Inspired by barbeque nights down under, Moo Bar and Grill is the <\/em>place for an after work tipple and a perfectly charred steak. It\u2019s constantly packed on weeknights, so be sure to make a reservation before gathering your mates.

Barossa<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Although this chilled outback bar can also be found at Holland Village, we prefer the outlet located right by Esplanade\u2019s stunning waterfront. The drinks here are surprisingly cheap and they even give away free Angus beef sliders during Happy Hour (Mon-Fri, 6pm-8pm). While there are some misses in service standard, it wasn\u2019t enough to affect us from having an awesome time. Beer on tap is locally brewed Archipelago.

Intrepid Gastro Bar<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wishing you were back in Melbs? Then this Melbourne-inspired restaurant will certainly make you feel right at home. Intrepid, like Melbourne, oozes creativity. Look at their menu and you\u2019ll find juicy Kangaroo sliders, exotic tandoori crocodile skewers and savoury vegemite ice cream. Food here is of true Aussie quality; it will leave you raving to the mates back home.

This modern tapas bar is unapologetically Australian. Offering a tongue-in-cheek atmosphere with its edgy d\u00e9cor, Salt Tapas & Bar scores full points for ambiance, service and taste. Besides offering a vast selection of old and new world wines, the vibrant bar also has their own version of Sangria and tons of unique cocktails. Try the owner\u2019s signature mix \u2013 The Australian.

Leave the comfort of your couch and catch the next Rugby match at Boomarang. Constantly packed with Rugby fanatics on match days, this is one of the best sporting bars in town. Everyone here is really friendly and welcoming too \u2013 it\u2019s no wonder everyone’s a regular! They also prepare one of the best weekend brunches in town, promising to cure any hangover.

This unpretentious bar also poses as a hostel. Modelled after backpacker pubs in Melbourne, grab a cheap pint with your pals and chill out to live music or watch the game. Owner and staff are really friendly too, which is a big plus in our books. On tap are Speights Gold Medal Ale (NZ), Pure Blonde Lager (AUS) and Red Rock Lager (AUS).
