A word from Call Me Madame’s Director, Alice Dentan:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The idea for this shoot started with a skirt…<\/em><\/p>\n

I was trying to clean my\u00a0attic a bit and found an old suitcase, heavy and covered with dust, behind a cabinet. After many efforts and a few grunts, I managed to open it, revealing many old clothes and souvenirs from my family: lace gloves too old to be worn again, a flat hat, outdated glasses… nothing really interesting. And then I saw the skirt. THE skirt.<\/em><\/p>\n

It all came back to me: my grandfathers telling me and my sister its\u00a0story. It was the skirt my grandmother wore for her engagement party, more than 60 years ago. I couldn’t help but picturing it worn by a contemporary bride. How elegant\u00a0and\u00a0sophisticated that would be !<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I created a fresh and citrusy\u00a0theme, to bring some coolness to\u00a0our very hot summer in France. As a tribute to my grandmother,\u00a0I also used some\u00a0vintage tableware belonging to my family.<\/em><\/p>\n
