I sat alone among the waterlilies and thought, &#8216;Do I actually want to stay here?&#8217; I did. Years later, I keep coming back to the same place. In 2017, it was just the two of us. In 2022 we were three, with our son discovering it for the first time. In 2025 we came as four. The museum looks just as beautiful each time. Marina Bay never gets old. And somehow there&#8217;s always something new to find inside \u2013 which means there&#8217;s always a reason to return and explore. Some places mark time without you realising it. Nestled in the CBD, it&#8217;s where colourful murals, heritage shophouses, hidden temples, and modern cafes come together in a way that feels uniquely Singaporean. I first discovered it while working nearby, and it quickly became my favourite place for coffee runs and after-work walks. In fact, the neighbourhood inspired many of our jumpsuits \u2013 the bold colours, vibrant energy, and blend of old and new. Whenever life feels busy or overwhelming, being by the sea reminds me to slow down. I love that you&#8217;ll find cyclists, families, aunties exercising, friends having barbecues and people simply watching the waves. As someone who has lived in different countries, I think home isn&#8217;t a particular building but the feeling of belonging to a place and its rhythms. These days I run Yings Creative Lab, my web design agency, remotely, so I spend less time in Singapore. But East Coast Park is a place I find myself back at each time I&#8217;m home. It&#8217;s where I go for a sea breeze run, followed by the comforting hawker food I can&#8217;t get anywhere else: satay, grilled stingray, BBQ chicken wings, eaten by the waterfront.
