As we celebrate International Women\u2019s Day<\/a>, it\u2019s time to shine a light on the trailblazing women entrepreneurs who are redefining success on their own terms. From sustainable fashion<\/a> and social media marketing to trauma-informed coaching and neurodevelopment, these powerhouse women entrepreneurs are reshaping their industries. We asked them to share their biggest achievements, what drives them, and their advice for aspiring entrepreneurs and their responses are nothing short of inspiring.<\/p>\n

Women entrepreneurs shaping industries and making an impact<\/h2>\n

1. Adelphia Lim, Founder of For The Love of Socials<\/a><\/h3>\n

I founded For The Love of Socials to demystify marketing for small businesses and make social media more accessible and sustainable, particularly for those in the health and wellness sector. We aim to empower these businesses to leverage digital platforms effectively to enhance their visibility. Two years in, we’ve collaborated with over 150 businesses, helping them make a significant impact!<\/p>\n

For aspiring entrepreneurs, my advice is to start where you are with what you have. Don\u2019t wait for the perfect moment \u2013 it doesn\u2019t exist. The journey may be tough, but the fulfillment you gain is immeasurable.<\/p>\n

2. Sophie Leung, Somatic Trauma-Informed Coach<\/a><\/h3>\n

I am a Somatic Trauma-Informed Coach empowering high-achieving women to overcome stress, anxiety, and self-sabotaging behaviors, helping them live fulfilled lives on their terms. Many clients struggle to find their voice, impacting their careers and relationships. My greatest achievement is the lasting impact I\u2019ve had \u2013 helping women align their careers, build healthier relationships, and improve their well-being. Highlights include being featured on MoneyFM 98.3 and NHK Japan TV News.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud of creating a coaching business where clients trust me with their vulnerabilities, leading to transformative growth. My work has inspired companies to adopt trauma-informed practices, enhancing employee well-being and productivity. Entrepreneurship is about mindset. Invest in your personal growth, embrace challenges, and trust the process. Success depends on how you approach the journey and the impact you aim to create.<\/p>\n

3. Joy Q. Wang, Founder & Creative Director of Bone and Grey Bridal<\/a><\/h3>\n

Revolutionising bridal fashion with minimalist, affordable gowns<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m the founder and creative director of Bone and Grey Bridal, an online bridal brand focused on bringing minimalist, quality, customisable, and affordable gowns starting from $300. We sell ready-to-wear, made-to-order, and bespoke gowns to brides in Singapore and overseas! At the moment, I\u2019m most proud of \u2013 and honestly shocked by \u2013 our reach, having connected with brides in Italy, Germany, and even Denmark! I never expected us to expand so widely.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also super proud when my brides gush over their wedding dress and enjoy the experience (even though it\u2019s mainly digital). With rising costs nowadays with weddings, I\u2019m proud to be providing a more accessible alternative. As entrepreneurs, we should all strive to create a great product and provide even better customer service because, at the end of the day, that\u2019s what truly matters.<\/p>\n

4. Kriti Gupta, Founder of Nimbu<\/a><\/h3>\n

Leading Singapore\u2019s first circular fashion brand for kids<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kriti, the founder of Nimbu, is a trailblazer in sustainable fashion, creating Singapore\u2019s first circular brand for kids. After a decade-long career in sustainability at the Economic Development Board, she boldly pivoted to launch Nimbu, inspired by her journey as a mom. The brand blends beauty, culture, and ethics, offering premium handcrafted clothing for kids and adults. One of Nimbu\u2019s proudest achievements is rescuing over 1,000 preloved kids’ clothes, saving approximately 6,500 kilograms of CO2 emissions and 2.7 million litres of water, showcasing the power of circular fashion. Kriti has also built a six-figure business across two countries, cultivated a loyal community, and partnered with platforms like Dia Guild to champion sustainability and artisan crafts. Her advice?<\/p>\n

“Take the leap of faith, align your business with your values, and lean on the power of community \u2013 it will guide you through every challenge”.<\/p>\n

5. Danielle Van de Velde, Founder of Spirited Living & Spirited Business<\/a><\/h3>\n

Building a global spiritual coaching community<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the last few years, my work in the spiritual space has changed, from being a provider of services to supporting practitioners and spirit-seekers in their journeys. A key aspect of this is in generating connections through communities where ideas, approaches and perspectives can be shared and explored, and where client referrals and opportunities are also enabled. In a crowded space, the emphasis for me is creating content and coaching that is rooted in experience and solid practices. I have also embraced online models. My subscription memberships, Spirited Living and Spirited Business have evidenced that if the curation, culture, content and coaching is top quality, real transformation happens.<\/p>\n

6. Hsiao Bond, Founder of Neural Connections<\/a><\/h3>\n

Revolutionising child development through sensory integration<\/strong><\/p>\n

My work is transforming the way we support children\u2019s development by zooming in on root causes through sensory integration. Most parents don\u2019t realise that retained primitive reflexes \u2013 like how babies throw their arms out when startled \u2013 automatic movements that we as parents don\u2019t think twice about, can lead to challenges that show up later in academic and social settings. By integrating these reflexes through MNRI, and working closely with parents to examine the holistic health of the child, from sleep, nutrition and gut health \u2013 all of which affects the nervous system \u2013 we help make meaningful change, especially for special needs and neurodiverse kids.<\/p>\n
