Confession: I love work-from-home days. But at times, I crave the buzz of working from the office, where I get to socialise with my colleagues and feed off of the productive atmosphere. Pleasingly, there\u2019s a new coworking space in Singapore that\u2019s perfect for this endeavour. Enter The Work Boulevard, with two locations at Collyer Quay and Anson Road. When an invite to check out its spaces arrived, I happily accepted and brought my team along for the ride.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re curious about how it all went down (and whether we got any work done), read on for my honest thoughts.<\/p>\n

Review: The Work Boulevard at Collyer Quay<\/h3>\n

Bright and early on a Thursday, I made my way to The Work Boulevard at Collyer Quay<\/a>. I appreciated the convenience of its location even before I set foot inside. A five minute walk away from my fave gym and boasting immediate proximity to Raffles Place MRT station, its location gave me the motivation I needed to squeeze in a morning gym sesh before work began (who am I?!).<\/p>\n

As with many coworking spaces, pleasing aesthetics are part of the deal. The space is welcoming and chic \u2013 trendy arches and statement hues provide enough stylish accents to appeal to any social media-loving crowd.<\/p>\n

That said, gimmicky it is not. Yes, happy hours run from 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays (that means Asahi beer on tap), and the communal area is ideal for casual chats. But beyond these perks, this is a space for work \u2013 and it feels like it. For most of the day, people are quietly typing away on their laptops as the coffee machine whirrs in the background.<\/p>\n

Speaking of coffee, my coworker quipped that she\u2019d pay $8 for the cuppa as it was on par with cafe-style brews. The fact that the brews are from Common Man might have something to do with it!<\/p>\n

We also appreciated the warm hospitality and sense of community. The ever-attentive community manager, Selynna, personally welcomed each of our team members into our office as they arrived. And when happy hour rolled around, the space members were grabbing drinks and mingling at the pantry. If you\u2019re unsure about how to integrate into this close-knit community, we suggest getting the community manager to make some introductions!<\/p>\n

The best part of the space? Our team unequivocally voted for the picturesque view of the Marina Bay area from our private office. That, and the smorgasbord of dining options for lunch (and after-work lounging) left our team eager to be back for more work-from-office days\u2026<\/p>\n

Review: The Work Boulevard at Anson Road<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re not one for overly convivial coworking spaces, The Work Boulevard at Anson Road<\/a> might be a winner for you. It was quiet and tranquil, providing the kind of conducive workspace that\u2019s required for truly<\/em> getting work done.<\/p>\n

There are no games or bean bags to distract you from your to-do list. Though, it\u2019s not overly formal or intimidating either. Hushed conversations and ambient tunes were the background music to my workday as I typed away at a hot desk. The private office featured similar light-filled spaces to the Collyer Quay location, with windows overlooking the Tanjong Pagar district.<\/p>\n

I liked that this coworking space was warm and modern, with a touch of cosiness with its furnishings \u2013 the emerald sofa by the lounge was my personal fave. If you\u2019re looking for more spaces for lounging, the compact pantry area is well stocked with tea and coffee, with a bar counter area where you\u2019ll find the beer tap (stick around for happy hour from 5pm every Thursday and Friday!) and the occasional freebie from resident brands. Another plus? The friendly community manager, Nico, who made me feel welcome in no time.<\/p>\n

The Work Boulevard at Anson Road gets brownie points for its green efforts, too. Fun fact for eco warriors: most of the wooden tables, as well as the wooden panels at the lounge and reception area, are made of recycled chopsticks by the sustainable brand, Chopvalue.<\/p>\n

Would I be back?<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s a definite yes from me (and the team) for this one. The Work Boulevard promised an inviting, stylish, and conducive workspace, and it delivered.
