Eco-friendly partying? You read that right. Nomad Solar Sound<\/a> is the brainchild of the local party aficionados from Ice Cream Sundays. Having thrown many a shindig across Singapore, the team struggled to find sound system solutions. Because of their unique party locations, there’s limited access to power points. But instead of dragging around diesel-powered generators, they created Nomad Solar Sound. But what is the solution, you ask? The solar-powered sound system by PikiP, that\u2019s what. That\u2019s equivalent to two bowls of rice per person! However, Ento Industries<\/a> is looking to give food waste a new lease on life. This biotech company aims to close the loop on food waste with some helpful critters, aka Black Soldier flies. After chowing down, the insects are turned into animal feed and fertiliser.<\/p>\n

4. Ocean Purpose Project<\/h3>\n

Ocean conservation is probably one of the first frontiers of sustainability. Besides cleaning up waste in our waters, there are many conversations about conserving our marine ecosystem. Ocean Purpose Project<\/a> is one sustainable startup in Singapore working towards cleaner oceans. The social enterprise seeks to drive ocean conservation through creatively disruptive projects. It regularly organises beach cleanups to clear up the sand. It also has plenty of side projects like converting waste plastic, creating bioplastics, and reforesting coral.<\/p>\n
