All the highlights at ART SG<\/h2>\n

1. Admire works by leading artists on show<\/h3>\n

Expect to see artworks and immersive installations created by leading artists from the world\u2019s best galleries. We\u2019re talking about stunning works by more than 1,000 artists from over 30 countries \u2013 there\u2019s something for every art lover! Renowned names like Yayoi Kusama, Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley and Damien Hirst will be on show, as well as many others who are making their Singapore debut. Don\u2019t miss displays by emerging artists from the region and beyond, including a NEW\/NOW sector with works under US$10,000.<\/p>\n

For those who are into the NFT craze, you\u2019re in luck. ART SG\u2019s Reframe sector sees digital art and blockchain creations take the spotlight, including NFTs. Feast your eyes on works from Refik Anadol, one of the most acclaimed pioneers in the aesthetics of data and machine intelligence. His artwork revolves around the challenges and possibilities of computing\u2019s effect on humanity, as well as what it means to be human in the age of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

Also on show are Sputniko! with Nanohana Heels – these leather shoes have heels that plant rapeseeds with each step. Plus, catch Canadian-Korean artist Krista Kim\u2019s works of meditative experiences that draw from colour and light – they\u2019ll enthral you into a tranquil trance.<\/p>\n

2. Have a seat and catch experimental films<\/h3>\n

Artworks aren\u2019t the only thing to see: grab a seat at ArtScience Museum to enjoy a curation of films by Gridthiya Gaweewong, curator at the Jim Thompson Art Center in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

Highlights include Async – First Light, a collaboration between acclaimed Thai filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, with a poem by Arseny Tarkovsky narrated by David Sylvian. We\u2019re also excited to support local by catching And A Great Sign Appeared, a video on Asian openbill storks by Singaporean artist Robert Zhao.<\/p>\n

3. Listen in on talks themed around art<\/h3>\n

Talks are in store for discussions on the contemporary art world. Art SG Perspectives is a curated program with discussions by speakers like crypto art pioneer Kevin Abosch, Dhaka Art Summit founder Rajeeb Samdani, Sydney Biennale CEO Barbara Moore, chief executive and artistic director of the Bangkok Biennale, Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, and businessman, diplomat and art collector Dr. Uli Sigg.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll be examining topics like Hybrid Experiences in the Real World – Disrupting Art and Technology, Novel Ways of Supporting Artists and Art Scenes to Grow, Biennales as Drivers of Local and Regional Collaboration, and more.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget to swing by an installation by The Hour Glass, too. The brand has worked with Kuala Lumpur-based light artist Jun Ong to create an artwork that delves into the shifting of time.<\/p>\n

5. Take a break: Grab a bite or a tipple<\/h3>\n

Feeling peckish? Drop by the cafe and Media Hub to grab a bite and a cuppa while browsing through art and lifestyle magazines. Or, say yes to a glass of bubbly at the Ruinart Art Bar, where British artist David Shrigley has partnered with the Maison to present a series of drawings, looking upon the wine-making process with his signature humour. Once you\u2019re all fuelled up, you\u2019re ready to continue your journey of art exploration.<\/p>\n
