The occasion called for a big team lunch so we headed to one of our favourite restaurants in the CBD. Here are the top picks from our luxe lunch at <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/directory\/2013\/09\/09\/the-black-swan\/\">The Black Swan<\/a>.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Head Honchos<br \/>\n<\/strong>Our Editors are (self-admittedly) fussy and finicky about everything, so anything they endorse is definitely worth a try. For the mains, the <i>Chilean Seabass<\/i> with quinoa, bacon jam, and roasted beetroot, got their stamp of approval for its crisp, clean flavour that\u2019s guaranteed not to leave you in a food coma when you\u2019re back at your desk. For sweets that are not too sweet, our fearless leaders gambled on <i>Cake of the Day<\/i> &#8211; and won with an excellently spiced carrot cake served with vanilla ice cream.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Artistry Department<br \/>\n<\/strong>Because they probably appreciate this 1930s Art Deco space the most, we weren\u2019t surprised when the creatives\u2019 favourites were the best presented dishes. The <i>Crab Salad<\/i>, greens topped with handpicked crab, generous servings of avocado, citrus fruits, toasted sunflower seeds, and citrus vinaigrette, which looks and tastes just like summer in a bowl \u2013 is absolutely refreshing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21859 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/d22ir9aoo7cbf6.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/07\/Black-Swan-3.jpg\" alt=\"The Black Swan, Singapore\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/static.thehoneycombers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/07\/Black-Swan-3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/static.thehoneycombers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/07\/Black-Swan-3.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 640px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 640\/480;\" \/><em>Spiced carrot cake with vanilla ice cream<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bread-Winners<br \/>\n<\/strong>No strangers to wining and dining, we believe the sales team when they say The Black Swan is one of the best places to impress clients. They started their meal with a dose of beefy goodness with the Char-Grilled Beef Tartare, a well-balanced combination of grain fed beef and nashi pear. Delicately crisp on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside, the 36-hour sous vide Duck Leg Confit, complemented with bacon potatoes and a drizzle of mustard, had them scraping every bit off from the plate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Wordsmiths<br \/>\n<\/strong>It\u2019s an occupational hazard that we writers, are always on the lookout for value-for-money dining, and the <i>Black Swan Burger<\/i> beats any other dish by far. Beef chuck patty grilled to perfection, gooey cheddar cheese, lashings of crispy bacon, and crispy fries \u2013 now that\u2019s our idea of a perfect burger. We ended the meal on a sweet note with the <i>Dark Chocolate Dome<\/i>, a luscious concoction of 70% Valrhona chocolate, vanilla cr\u00e8me, and seasonal berries.
