The rankings are published two weeks ahead of the awards ceremony, which will be held in Milan as the programme returns to Europe for its 18th edition. Opened in 2022, Offtrack places music front and centre as part of its modus operandi of building a third space for Singapore’s creative community.<\/p>\n

2. Local craft distillery takes top honours at a global spirits competition<\/h3>\n

While we’re on the topic of alcohol, here’s another piece of amazing news for imbibers! Homegrown craft distillery Distillius<\/a> has won big at the 2026 Asia World Spirits Competition, with all its submitted creations receiving recognition. Super Pandan was named Best in Show Liqueur, Best of Class Botanical\/Herbal Liqueur and a Double Gold Medal.<\/p>\n

The distillery’s MO Bar x Distillus Old Tom Gin No 1 received a Double Gold Medal and was named Best of Class for Old Tom Gin, while Arveau Aperitif was awarded a Gold Medal. The six accolades come as Distillus continues building its presence across Singapore’s bars, restaurants and retail.<\/p>\n

3. Celebrate the Teochew heritage at Orchard Road<\/h3>\n

Block 2 to 4 October 2026 off for The Ngee Ann Teochew Cultural & Food Festival<\/a>, taking place at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on Orchard Road. The three-day festival will showcase Teochew opera and music by five local troupes, demonstrations of the Teochew Gongfu Tea ceremony, a food fair featuring various classic Teochew delicacies, and more.<\/p>\n

4. Michelin Key selection welcomes four Singapore hotels<\/h3>\n

Hot on the heels of the Michelin-starred restaurants<\/a> list, the Michelin Guide<\/a> has unveiled its 2026 Michelin Key selection. Four hotels in Singapore \u2013 Marina Bay Sands, Mett Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel and The Singapore Edition \u2013 have received the Michelin One-Key distinction for the first time.<\/p>\n

The four join six other hotels that retain their One-Key distinction: Artyzen Singapore, Capella Singapore, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, Mandarin Oriental Singapore, Parkroyal Collection Pickering and Raffles Sentosa Singapore. Meanwhile, Raffles Hotel Singapore holds on to its Three-Key Distinction for another year, reflecting the property’s hospitality, character and extraordinary stay. 5. Free feeding bowls for community cats<\/h3>\n

We’ve been hearing a lot of upsetting news involving the community cats lately, so this piece of news is a ray of hope and sunshine that deserves to be shared. Animal Human Alliance<\/a> has launched Cats of Chinatown<\/a>, the first edition in a series of community cat feed bowls. The bowls are distributed free to independent feeders across Singapore to help provide community cats with a clean container for food and water while making responsible feeding easier.<\/p>\n

Cats of Chinatown features cats from local artist Yip Yew Chong’s iconic Chinatown murals alongside vulnerable kitties that AHA founder Chow Wah Chan has adopted from the neighbourhood and taken into his lifelong care.<\/p>\n

6. YouTrip introduces new shared expenses function<\/h3>\n

Imagine travelling in a group and the typical stance is, “I’ll pay first, and y’all can pay me back later.” Except that often ends up with late repayments, unfair splitting, and even incorrect calculations. According to YouTrip<\/a>‘s latest survey, one in three Singaporeans have experienced disputes over travel expenses. And here’s the kicker: 21% said they wouldn’t travel with the same group again. Gasp!<\/p>\n

So, how can this be better resolved? The multi-currency digital wallet has introduced YouTrip Split<\/a>, allowing users to manage shared expenses from payment to settlement. All you have to do is create a group, add friends and select transactions directly from the history to be split. Choose to split equally or assign an exact amount, percentage or share for fairer division. No more reluctant accountant roles and splitting hairs over crunching the numbers!<\/p>\n

To mark the official launch, YouTrip is covering the travel expenses of three groups. Initiate a group split with three or more friends from 17 September to 14 October 2026 and stand a chance to have your trip expenses covered (capped at $5,000 per group). Users can participate by registering through the promo banner in the app.<\/p>\n

7. Local pizzeria continues to rise in global rankings<\/h3>\n

Let’s give it up for Anto Pizza e Aperitivi<\/a>, which has reached another milestone on the international pizza stage! The Keong Saik pizzeria rose to number 81 on the 50 Top Pizza World 2026<\/a> ranking \u2013 and again, the only pizza place to be recognised on this list. This is a continuation of Anto’s good streak, after ranking number 15 on the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2026<\/a> list.<\/p>\n

To mark the latest milestone (and the restaurant’s second anniversary), chef-owner Antonio Brancato will introduce a new menu from 4 October 2026, featuring his most representative pizzas since Anto’s opening. Diners can also look forward to creations inspired by his ideas and experiences, and past collaborations.<\/p>\n

8. More mental well-being support in the CBD<\/h3>\n

Corporate girlies and office baddies, there’s a new integrated workplace wellness centre for you. Meet Touchpoint@Capital Tower<\/a>, a collaboration between Touch Community Services and CapitaLand. The centre brings mental, physical and digital well-being support together under one roof, and serves working adults and their families.<\/p>\n

Within the centre, visitors can drop by the Mind Concierge for one-to-one and family counselling services and art therapy programmes, while Kinesse is a specialist musculoskeletal clinic offering physiotherapy services. 9. Anthony Chen’s latest release is heading for the Oscars!<\/h3>\n
