Singapore Airlines (SIA) has heard our pleas and announced that they will be progressively introducing Premium Economy class seats on their flights next year &#8211; hooray!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Though SIA had brushed off the idea of providing the Premium Economy option before, the airline has since realised the value of this offering and will be joining the likes of Air France, ANA, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, Qantas, and JAL, in providing this upgraded Economy class for its passengers.<\/p>\n<p>A seat on Premium Economy will come with a heftier price tag, possibly ranging from $500 to $900 more, but the benefits in return include extended leg room, the comfort of wider seats, onboard champagne, and meals served on tablecloth for more stylised presentation.<\/p>\n<p>This may spell good news for business travellers, whose companies\u2019 travel policies are unwilling to provide the extra buck for Business class, elderly passengers, who would appreciate that extra comfort factor, and passengers who are on long haul flights that are more than seven hours long.<\/p>\n<p>Full details on the Premium Economy Class offerings have yet to be released, but some may include a dedicated side compartment for bags (so that you don\u2019t have to leave your seat to reach for the overhead compartment), priority boarding rights, and special seats with extended recline and full footrest \u2013 of which other competitors are currently offering on their Premium Economy class.
