With some happenings spilling over into April 2018, here are some great things you can look forward to:<\/p>\n

Hong Kong Arts Festival<\/h3>\n

Till 24 March 2018<\/strong>
\nWell into its 46th year, the Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) is set as the exciting main event to kick-off Hong Kong Arts Month. Taking place till 24 March, HKAF features over 1,700 international and local artists starring in 130 performances. Before the festival ends, you can still catch the Alexei Ratmansky-choreographed production ‘Whipped Cream’ by the American Ballet Theatre, and the colourful Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series.<\/p>\n

South Island Art Day<\/h3>\n

29 March 2018<\/strong>
\nIf gallery-hopping sounds like your cup of tea, make your way to the Wong Chuk Hang area. The South Island district (which includes Wong Chuk Hang) is an upcoming arts and culture hotspot in Hong Kong. Make it a point to be there for South Island Art Day on 29 March, where 17 art galleries and studios in the South Island Cultural District will play host to a myriad of exhibitions and performances. Art Basel<\/h3>\n

29 to 31 March 2018<\/strong>
\nBig on art fairs? Hit up Art Basel at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Showcasing 248 leading galleries from 32 countries and territories, Art Basel is your chance to dive into contemporary artworks by a mix of established and up-and-coming artists from the world over. Things also promise to get pretty experimental this year, with some names using techniques like virtual reality to create their masterpieces.<\/p>\n

Fotan Open Studios<\/h3>\n

31 March 2018<\/strong>
\nLike going off the beaten path? Then head to Fo Tan. Blooming alongside industrial buildings in the New Territories, Fo Tan is hot on the heels of the South Island District as a developing arts hub. Here you’ll find everything from gorgeous pottery to Chinese calligraphy, and on 31 March, you can check out Fotan Open Studios<\/a> to meet and greet local artists, hear their stories, and be inspired by them.<\/p>\n

Arts Central Hong Kong<\/h3>\n

27 March to 1 April 2018<\/strong>
\nAnother not-to-be-missed highlight is Arts Central Hong Kong, With the official launch happening on 26 March, the event is set to take place at the Central Harbourfront Event Space. A total of 30 galleries will be participating for the first time, and all in all, there will be more than 100 international galleries present, making this Art Central Hong Kong’s biggest edition ever! That aside, the week-long programme includes cool installations, fascinating performances, and panel discussions guaranteed to pique your curiosity.<\/p>\n
