Need tips on where to go<\/a> to unwind with a gripping read? Our favourite places for a lit fix include the public libraries under NLB<\/a>. If you haven\u2019t been to one in a long time, we say it\u2019s time to rediscover them! These libraries have recently reopened with brand-new features and services, and they\u2019ve got our inner bookworms squealing.<\/p>\n

A space for all\u2026<\/h3>\n

Whether you\u2019re deep in discovery of data analytics, bitcoin trends or books from great TV adaptations<\/a>, there are dedicated spaces for everyone, including discussion zones for teenagers and quiet reading nooks for adults. Some libraries are also home to Early Literacy areas, dedicated for children aged six and below. <\/p>\n

We recommend:<\/strong> Bukit Panjang Public Library<\/a> for its Stories Come Alive Room, which holds digitally enhanced immersive storytelling sessions for kids; and Sengkang Public Library<\/a>, for its separate, adults-only and tweens-dedicated spaces. <\/p>\n

One of the highlights at Tampines Regional Library includes an airy terrace that doubles up as a multi purpose space.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We can\u2019t stop waxing lyrical<\/a> about the Tampines Regional Library<\/a>, even if we tried. This five-storey library is packed with facilities we never would have imagined: cooking workshops in a culinary studio (yes!), study lounge, terraced seating, a chill out space for teens, and more.<\/p>\n

We recommend:<\/strong> Checking out PIXEL Labs@NLB in Tampines Regional Library, an interactive space with facilities such as 3D printers and a green screen that lets registered users use for free. Learn new skills through hands-on workshops, informative talks and crafting sessions \u2013 you will find more information on upcoming programmes on the NLB Mobile app<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In line with the growing needs of a tech-savvy public, many of NLB\u2019s new services are also going digital. Think virtual bookshelves with a large selection of eBook titles, interactive doodle walls, and AutoSorters for returned books.<\/p>\n

We recommend:<\/strong> Yishun Public Library<\/a> for its learning pods, fully-equipped with eLearning courses on touch-screen monitors; and the curated eBook titles on Bedok Public Library\u2019s<\/a> virtual bookshelves. <\/p>\n
