We\u2019re happy (because we love it!) to announce that the salted caramel trend is still going strong in Singapore \u2013 so here\u2019s where to get your salted caramel fix. Don\u2019t bother counting the calories, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stylist.co.uk\/life\/my-love-affair-with-salted-caramel\">Nigella Lawson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.examiner.com\/article\/obama-s-favorite-seattle-treat-fran-s-sea-salt-caramels\">Barack Obama<\/a> approve.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ice Cream<br \/>\n<\/strong>You know how popular a flavor is when (at the height of the trend) an ice creamery named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saltedcaramel.sg\">Salted Caramel<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; which dishes out pretty <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/2013\/11\/best-waffles-singapore.php\">good waffles<\/a> too &#8211; popped up along Upper Thomson Road! Try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.320below.com\">320 Below Nitro Cream Caf\u00e9<\/a> for made-to-order (with liquid nitrogen) Salted Caramel ice cream with a surprisingly smooth texture. Not in the area? We\u2019ve already raved about the <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/2013\/07\/cupcakes-singapore-best-stores.php\">cupcakes we love<\/a>, but try our favourite flavour at these bakeries \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BakedbyLace\">Baked by Lace<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/directory\/2013\/04\/10\/plain-vanilla-bakery\">Plain Vanilla<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twelvecupcakes.com\/about.htm\">Twelve Cupcakes<\/a> (we know, but their moist and fluffy treats are definitely more than satisfactory).<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cake<br \/>\n<\/strong>No matter what they say, cupcakes and cakes are different (we just keep telling ourselves that). Have the Coulant Caramel au Beurre Sal\u00e9 (or salty butter caramel lava cake) at <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/directory\/2010\/11\/23\/lentrecote\">L\u2019Entrec\u00f4te<\/a>. If you\u2019d like to toss cheese into the mix, check out Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake at <a href=\"https:\/\/themarmaladepantry.com.sg\/city\/\">The Marmalade Pantry<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/oboloinc\">Obolo<\/a>. Canel\u00e9 P\u00e2tisserie gets points for giving the flavour such a pretty name, Fleur de Sel (Flower of Salt), and it tastes as good as it sounds. But if you\u2019re in the vicinity of Millennia Walk, try the salted caramel macarons at <a href=\"https:\/\/patisserieg.com\/\">Patisserie G<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cocktails<br \/>\n<\/strong>Honey fave <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipplingclub.com\">Tippling Club<\/a> has not one, but two cocktails with salted caramel in the shaker. You have the choice of Clutching Hand (American whiskey, fernet branca, salt caramel, and lemon) or Low Profile Fashion Choices (Tennessee whiskey, salt caramel, chocolate, and earl grey). This is off the menu, but the mixologists at <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/2014\/01\/jekyll-hyde-singapore.php\">Jekyll and Hyde<\/a> concocted something (salted caramel, rum, and vanilla ice cream) when we requested for it. Sound good?
