Besides being known for a centre of culture and heritage, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/cafes-in-kampong-glam-and-haji-lane-singapore-6-best-spots-for-coffee-brunch-and-desserts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kampong Glam<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> precinct gets artsy for the annual Aliwal Arts Night Crawl happening on 19 August. A multi-disciplinary arts festival, the event aims to elevate <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/museums-in-singapore-guide-to-must-see-art-galleries-cultural-attractions-and-historical-exhibitions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">local art<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and talent while paying homage to the rich heritage of the Arab Quarters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The theme for this year is inspired by the ancient Javanese art of shadow puppetry, <em>Wayang Kulit<\/em>, and will introduce visitors to this tradition with its activities and mini-events happening in the area.
