But developments in the Seletar Aerospace Park look like they\u2019ll keep those jabs at bay. Case in point? Wildseed Bar, sister establishment to Summerhouse (read our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/farm-to-table-restaurants-in-singapore-we-review-the-summerhouse-dining-room-in-seletar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">full Summerhouse review<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), is one of the newer <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/singapore\/where-to-eat-in-seletar-singapore-food-guide-to-the-best-restaurants-cafes-and-pubs-in-the-northern-neighbourhood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">restaurants in Seletar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and one I was eager to revisit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Set below Summerhouse, Wildseed bar gives you a spectacular sunset view of the restaurant\u2019s edible garden \u2013 it\u2019s rustic, outdoors-y, and delightfully laid-back. In short, it\u2019s the perfect spot to sip on refreshing summery cocktails like the signature Flora-Lola ($18). The menu takes Summerhouse\u2019s focus on seasonal ingredients but dials the poshness down a notch. Menu items like the yuzu mac and the cheese ($12) and curly truffle fries with truffle mayo and Parmesan ($12) should reveal that Wildseed is a whole different beast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other intriguing sides on the menu include the grilled garlic and cheese buns ($8); here&#8217;s where you&#8217;ll notice that Wildseed isn&#8217;t afraid of a little heat. Key among its offerings is the harrisa baby back ribs ($28). The smoky, spicy dish is brined overnight, and marinated with paprika and harrisa paste before being cooked sous-vide for a whole two days. Served up medium rare (of course), the steak comes served with a pat of seasoned butter. In line with the casual vibe Wildseed aims for, the bar also does up a Tajima wagyu burger ($28). The grilled fish was served stuffed with dog&#8217;s fennel (from the edible garden), garlic, lemons, thyme, and rosemary. Adding a little sweetness to the dish was the preserved lemon and orange butter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While Summerhouse might be the occasional treat, Wildseed Bar aims, instead, to be a casual neighbourhood hangout \u2013 one that Seletar residents will certainly appreciate.
