The 80-year-old <\/span>flea market<\/span><\/a> may have <\/span>departed from Sungei Road<\/span><\/a> to make way for future residential developments, but it\u2019s nowhere near to saying goodbye. In fact, it is back in business at a temporary new home this weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Great news for bargain-hunters island-wide (and the rag-and-bone peddlers who make a living from the market); Singapore’s oldest flea market returns on 15 July at the Golden Mile Tower carpark. Despite bidding <\/span>adieu<\/span><\/i> to Sungei Road on 10 July, this relic of Singapore culture will let you put your bargaining skills to the test once again and bag a couple of steals, including a treasure trove of knick-knacks \u2013 think household goods, car parts, shoes and accessories. <\/span><\/p>\n
