A month just isn’t long enough to sample the best of Singapore’s vibrant restaurant scene<\/a>. We imagine that\u2019s why Singapore Restaurant Month (organised by Restaurant Association of Singapore ) has upped the ante and transformed into a fully-fledged three-month-long foodie festival that will involve over 200 restaurants islandwide.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This year’s theme, ‘Flavours of Singapore’, will see each of the participating restaurants \u2013 specialising in cuisines like Chinese<\/a>, Middle-Eastern<\/a>, Western<\/a>, Italian<\/a>, Korean<\/a>, Japanese<\/a>, and Indian<\/a> \u2013 showcase a locally-inspired dish for the festival.<\/p>\n

Just some of the dishes diners can expect are mod-Sin creations<\/a> like Chicken Rice Risotto (Joo Bar) and Chicken Tikka Pizza (Cali Caf\u00e9 and Bar), and the Chick In Rice Burger (Three Buns at Potato Head Singapore). On the more traditional end of the spectrum, you\u2019ll find local favourites like lor mee (PuTien), Laksa Slipper Lobster (Jumping Jack), and of course \u2013 Singapore chilli crab by JUMBO Seafood.<\/p>\n

As part of \u2018Flavours of Singapore\u2019, Restaurant Association of Singapore and Unilever Food Solutions will also present the ‘Salted Egg Shiok’ campaign that will provide foodies with a (literal) map of salted egg dishes<\/a> available in Singapore. The map will launch on 3 July and users are invited to take part in bi-monthly polls to vote for the best salted egg dish. Voting will also put them in the running for attractive prizes.<\/p>\n

And, if you\u2019re lucky enough to be a DBS or POSB cardholder, you\u2019ll be entitled to purchase $100 worth of dining vouchers for just $70! The vouchers (available in denominations of $25) can be used at 50 participating restaurants<\/a> during the festival, and purchased from a list of restaurants<\/a>. And with such a spread of traditional and modern culinary creations on offer, we certainly hope you\u2019re hungry!<\/p>\n
