Mui Kee\u2019s congee might be the answer to all your problems. No one said porridge had to be plain and unappetising \u2013 after all, there\u2019s a reason why this <a href=\"https:\/\/thehoneycombers.com\/hongkong\/listing\/mui-kee-congee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">famous congee is such a hit in Hong Kong<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>No foodie\u2019s trip to Hong Kong is complete without a stopover at Mui Kee, but now, you can save yourself the flight. Mui Kee\u2019s congee, situated on the fourth floor of Fa Yuen Market Street in Hong Kong will be making an appearance in Singapore, as a pop-up store in Les Amis&#8217; Casa Verde restaurant this coming June.<\/p>\n<p>Mui Kee offers more than 30 different types of congee, containing richly-marinated ingredients, like its pork viscera. The plain congee is perfect for a light meal \u2013 the fluffy, smooth texture is second to none. Meanwhile, the delicious fish stock adds a sweet aroma that makes the congee anything but plain.<\/p>\n<p>It will be sold in sets \u2013 congee with a plate of <em>youtiao<\/em> (fried dough fritters) and century eggs \u2013 costing from $12.50 to $14.50. The pop-up will be up for six months, and Mui Kee intends to open its own permanent store by 2018.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.casaverde.com.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Casa Verde<\/a>, 1 Cluny Rd\u00a0<\/em>Singapore Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre,\u00a0<em>Singapore 259569.
