A closer look of Fat Prince’s Modern Turkish Breakfast<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Flying the flag high for exotic Middle Eastern cuisine is Fat Prince and The Ottoman Room \u2013 the latter even clinched a coveted spot on our Hot 50 Tables list<\/a> \u2013 and it\u2019s just joined the brunch bunch with these weekend offerings. The Turkish fried dough<\/strong> ($14) promises to be a potent morning perk-me-up with accompaniments of sour cherry jam, soft maple halva, and hazelnut chocolate for the sweet tooths. A big eater? Then the Modern Turkish Breakfast<\/strong> ($21) will fill you up while giving you a taste of Istanbul, with its warm Turkish cheeses, melon, urfa and grilled bread.<\/p>\n

But hold up;\u00a0what\u2019s brunch without eggs, right? Another sinful dish to gobble up \u2013 especially if you can\u2019t resist eggs for brunch \u2013 is the Falafel Scotch Egg<\/strong> ($22) that comes with a fig and fennel salad. Alternatively, try the roasted mushroom menemen<\/strong> ($23) or Cyprus pork sausage menemen<\/strong> ($26) \u2013 both are traditional Turkish renditions of scrambled eggs. We suggest bringing along your whole posse for this brunch, because groups of eight or more can enjoy a set menu for just $45++ per person.<\/p>\n

Boozy brunchers, we didn\u2019t forget about you either. If more booze is your solution to a weekend\u2019s hangover, then opt for Fat Prince and The Ottoman Room\u2019s free-flow brunch for $68++ per person, where you\u2019ll have two hours of all-you-can-drink beer, sparkling wine, and white or red wine (food will be ordered a la carte at a separate cost). Otherwise, try their Moroccan Mary<\/strong> ($18) that enhances your typical Bloody Mary recipe with harissa and za\u2019atar salt; or have a double whammy of caffeine and alcohol with their Hard Turkish Coffee<\/strong> ($20) \u2013 an espresso martini with gold rum and chocolate and coffee liqueur.
