We’ve got the scoop on these chic and comfortable footwear from Emu Australia
If we had to name the one thing that’s lacking in sunny Singapore, it’s the number of boutiques which specialise in stylish winter wear. The search gets trickier when you’re shopping for the right cold-weather footwear but thankfully, we found Emu Australia’s new Fall 2017 collection! Featuring classic and fail-safe styles inspired by the tranquil Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, these shoes will go with almost everything in your winter wardrobe.
Slip on these waterproof boots
If you’re a frequent traveller to snowy climates, you might have already heard of Emu Australia’s signature waterproof range. They’re taking things up a notch with their newly refreshed collection this season – these shoes aren’t just meticulously handcrafted, with tanned leather and suede exteriors fitted with waterproof membranes and a durable outsole, but are also fashion-forward to boot.
Our picks: You can’t go wrong with the versatile Paterson Mini ($219) that’s perfect for lounging at a ski resort. But if you want a more fitted style, then opt for the Gravelly boot ($239). Fashionistas, you’ll adore the Pioneer ($189), a Chelsea boot that sports a slight heel. The best part? All of these designs are fully waterproof and lined with natural Australian sheepskin. Practical and stylish? We’re sold.
Cosy up to furry slippers
You don’t have to live in temperate conditions to invest in these luxurious merino sheepskin slippers. The Nest range adds a casual pizzazz to your everyday routine, even if you’re just kicking back at home.
Our picks: Envelop your feet with the oh-so-fluffy Mayberry ($89), or prep up with the Wrenlette ($89) – we can’t resist its timeless, collegiate style! We also have our eye on the Jolie ($109), which comes in a stylish metallic suede.
Hit the road with comfy sneakers
If comfort is a top priority, then the Balance collection–which features EMU’s signature memory foam in-soles–may be right up your alley.
Our picks: Go for the Winton ($149) if you want an elevated spin on the usual high-tops, as this design contrasts athletic streetwear with a plush leather-and-suede combo. If you prefer something fuss-free, the Dolphin ($125) may be just what you’re looking for. The sneakers come with stretch elastic inserts that make slipping them on and off a breeze. Do also keep an eye out for the popular Cactus sneaker from the Spring/Summer collection, which is making a comeback with bigger and bolder colours.
Pack these adorable kids’ shoes
Bringing the kiddos along? Make it a fun-filled trip with these charming designs from EMU Australia’s Littles collection.
Our picks: The Unicorn boot ($99) is a showstopper, with faux pony hair details and pink merino wool. For something more daring, pick the Dragon boot ($99), which comes with tiny dragon wings and a toothy smile. Other highlights from the collection include the Lion ($99) and Shark Fin ($65) sneakers, both featuring handy Velcro straps for effortless removal.
