New collection alert! Soul & Tables ups the ante with Universo Positivo
Shopping for furniture to improve the qi in your home? There is no better brand name for that than Universo Positivo, making its Asian debut now at Soul & Tables.
This new collection is inspired by the destiny of everyday life through aesthetics, simplicity and coherence in design. Collaborating with notable European and international designers, this fresh, playful and dynamic collection features small items such as stools, shelves, lighting and table-top accessories. Suited for both the home and office, the softness of the primary material oakwood contrasts superbly with the industrial nature of metal to create clean architectural lines.
The 35-product range carried by Soul & Tables is driven by designers Jan and Lara. In 2012, they initiated the Universo Positivo project together with Philippe Delaisse, founder of Soul & Tables, with the accent on affordable good quality and European made design.
Now in Singapore, examples of Universo Positivo products available include interesting and functional items that draw attention to a space such as the ‘Moon Table’ ($350 for the Small, $715 for the Large) which is a wooden oak disc-shaped top clamped between two pieces of metal. The ‘Turtle Table’ ($175, $250 and $415 for Small, Medium and Large sizes respectively) is a vintage-inspired, organically shaped table. Additional accessories include the Wattman Lamp made of a wooden socket on a skinny metal frame ($95). Then there’re fun, nostalgic items such as a DIY cardboard-inspired Pencil Holder ($60). Made of solid oak wrapped in powder coated metal, it comes in various fun colours, allowing mix and match.
