Taking the world by storm, RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favourite Miz Cracker will be rocking up to take our stage by storm. In her one-person comedy show, Miz Cracker tells us a story of a world that’s a little more queer than it normally is. Bringing 12 years of unique comedy to over a million fans across the globe, enter a narrative with jump splits, dad jokes, slapstick, and just a little bit of gossip.

6. Exhibition: Cheong Soo Pieng: A Retrospective

The late Cheong Soo Pieng is a pioneer of the Nanyang art style and is a known figure in the local art scene. He’s widely revered for his career, with a unique and wide ranging repertoire of styles. Thanks to the overwhelming response and enthusiasm from young visitors who’re keen to see even more of his work, this new showcase is a collaborative effort from Artcommune and private collectors. In this exhibition, over 80 pieces from the artist’s collection will be put on display at Artspace @ Helutrans.

7. Dine: Season of Impressionists afternoon tea
Presenting the third instalment of its Season of Impressionists afternoon tea series, we welcome a newly created menu inspired by the works of French Impressionist painter, Claude Monet. On top of a stunning menu, Anti:dote’s interior takes on a whole new look. A large photo wall features the artist’s Water Lilies painting while renditions of Charing Cross Bridge will adorn the space. 8. Exhibition: Sensory Odyssey

You’ll get really up close and personal with nature at the ArtScience Museum’s exhibition. Sensory Odyssey is where art and science unite in a unique showcase of habitats. The team consists of 350 artists, designers, biologists, engineers, developers, neuroscientists, scent-makers, and media specialists. Through this multi-sensorial exhibition, you’ll be taken through seven ecosystems in the world inhabited by various animals.
Understand bats and get insight into how they make use of echolocation, and get a microscopic view of insects in their natural habitat. Each room also has a specially customised scent that puts you into the creature’s perspective. Be surrounded by the smell of soil and earth of an underground ecosystem, or be tickled by the scent of pollen and flowers as insects fly about.

9. Things to do: Singapore River Festival

Singapore River Signatures has returned with a whole line-up of events that’ll evoke all five senses, and we’re here to give you the scoop. The annual food festival brings recognition to some of the finest eateries along Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay. Get a glimpse and discover hidden gems that tuck themselves away along the gorgeous Singapore River.
Or consider hopping aboard the Tales & Tastes tour with an immersive tour to relive Clarke Quay’s early days as an entertainment hub. The foodie trail will take you around Shrimp Prawn Seafood, The Dragon Chamber, Zorba The Greek Taverna, and Brewerkz. 10. Exhibition: Locious: The Universe of Now

This exhibition with up-and-coming Indonesian artist Galih Reza Suseno serves as a reminder of climate change and its effects on our planet. Locious: The Universe of Now shows sustainability through the lens of ancient Javanese folklore. Although it’s a topic that remains in the forefront of our minds and is something we care deeply about, the way the subject is explored through Galih’s work is whimsical. He depicts his vision of a utopia through adorable characters and pastel colours.

11. Things to do: Comics Art & Sci-fi Expo
23 – 24 September, Saturday – Sunday
Comic fans, take to Science Centre Singapore for all things art and sci-fi at this expo. This convention sees the gathering of international invited guests from all over the world showcasing their expertise. Rick and Morty fans, grab tickets to catch cover artist David Angelo Roman this week. Hailing from Texas, you’ll get the chance to meet the famed illustrator. Or if you’re more into the art of cosplay and costume design, catch Alpaca Ash and Pros and Cons Cosplay who’ll offer tips and tricks of the trade.
