Weekends are for treks, headphone parties, flea markets and celebrating pizza!
After a mid-week break followed by random Monday blues on Thursday, we psyched about resetting our clocks this weekend. There are plenty and more things to do this weekend in Singapore – from art installations and cleaning up Pulau Ubin to dancing in a silent room and raiding flea markets.
Food: All hail the pizza
Saturday, 9 Feb
We hope you find someone who looks at you like we look at pizza. February 9 is the all-holy World Pizza Day, also known as ‘the easiest excuse to cheat on your diet and get a kickass deal on pizza’ day! Lino is doing a one-for-one on dine-in and takeaway (till stocks last). You know what to do…

Trail: Take a hike
All weekend
In a mood to explore this weekend? Pick one of these green walking trails and be on your way. If you’d rather be cityside, take an augmented reality trail. Fresh on the App store is a fun app developed by National Heritage Board and the National Parks Board, especially for Singapore Bicentennial. Discover history along the Singapore River, watch iconic moments come alive and clock in your steps while you’re at it.

Festival: i Light & Light to Night are lit!
All weekend
The Civic District and Marina Bay area is bustling with interesting things to do. Kickstarting Singapore’s Bicentennial commemoration are i Light and Light to Night – two interesting and immersive festivals that will keep you busy. Seven iconic monuments in the civic district are wearing story-telling art skins every evening for Light to Night. And i Light is bigger than ever, branching out all the way to Fort Canning this year. There’s a lot to cover – light art installations, artwork on bridges, a multimedia show on the river, an eco-conscious marketplace The Lawn@Marina Bay, and more.

Party: Silent Disco dancing
Friday & Saturday, 8 & 9 Feb
We’ll admit it – there’s something magical/hilariously fun about a headphone party. And this one’s at Airzone (you know the suspended net) at City Square. Dance away mid-air with your friends at this Silent Disco party – it’s got all the ingredients for a good time. If you’d rather sway with Marina Bay for a backdrop, there’s another Silent Disco party on Saturday at ArtScience Museum. In conjunction with i Light Singapore, sign up for this session and switch between three DJs playing simultaneously (EDM, rock and pop).

Every few weeks, a group of volunteers team up to clean up Pulau Ubin. Last week, 120 of them collected over 2500 kgs of trash! Take a ferry to the island and join the effort this weekend for a two-hour long (not more) clean up followed by dinner and drinks at Changi village jetty. But first, register…

You can also refresh your wardrobe at a fraction of the cost at FleaWhere, hosted by Invade at Lucky Plaza.
