So much food, so little time – we know the feels. But you should get out there this weekend, because these four spots (and one pop-up event) really deserve your attention.
#1 – A cheese pop-up store at mezza9
Sweet dreams are made of cheese, and your dreams have come true at mezza9’s pop-up store, launched in collaboration with online retailer The Cheese Artisans. Look out for some very amazing cheese varieties, including the Oveja Negra (a Manchego-style organic cheese made from the milk of a rare breed of Black Manchego ewes), as well as the Red Wine Farmer – a Swiss Mountain cheese that has been matured for one entire year in mountain caves. The pop-up will run till 30 November.

#2 – More boozy bespoke fun on Bukit Pasoh
Have your drink exactly the way you like it at this bespoke cocktail bar, opened by owner-head bartender Daiki Kanetaka. He has bagged the Esquire Magazine (China) award for best bartender of the year three years in a row, so you can keep your hopes (and expectations) high. Prices start at $27 for a mix of your choice, and you can pair your drinks with items like a cold cut platter of iberico and salami or a cheese platter. Selection changes daily.

#3 – Jasper’s Pantry for perfect pies
Good pies are like good men – finding them requires some effort and a whole lot of luck. But new takeaway joint Jasper’s Pantry has arrived to help solve this pie shortage issue, bringing their goodies from the digital world to a brick and mortar store at Icon Village. On the menu: massive, hearty savoury pies in flavours like chicken and corned beef and sweet treats such as their popular carrot cake. Men not included.
Jasper’s Pantry, #01-13 Icon Village, 16 Enggor Street, Singapore 079717, p. 6449 5112.
#4 – Sinful new additions at OverEasy
If you don’t already know, OverEasy does a mean mac and cheese and their burgers are to die for. Now, they’re giving us several reasons to head back for their new menu additions. The signature mac and cheese has evolved to ‘Mac & Cheeks’ – your favourite comfort dish topped with incredibly tender beef cheeks. There are also other items to wolf down; the wagyu beef truffle burger and the spicy chicken noodle soup are just some noteworthy ones.

#5 – Go North for North Indian
North-siders with a weakness for Indian fare, check out SHER, Sembawang’s newest addition. It may look fancier than what you’d expect of a neighbourhood hangout, but don’t be mistaken – this North Indian restaurant is laidback and its offerings are pretty pocket-friendly, from the chicken tikka to the garlic naan.
