How to grow a business in Singapore? How to manage a team? How to improve and sell your product? The TEDxPickeringStreet event looks to be an inspiring one
If you’re always inspired by the buzz of TED Talks, you’ll wanna get in on this event. Expect great ideas galore at TEDxPickeringStreet, happening 15 July at the ArtScience Museum. For those not familiar, TED stands for Technology Entertainment Design and is a series of conferences that happen throughout the year. It has many different offshoots – TEDx being one, and despite what it stands for, TED has really turned into a place for just about every topic imaginable.
The theme of choice is “The Qs”, and all the different “Qs” in life will be addressed in this session: How do you best the conundrum of small talk? How do you be a better leader? And so forth.
On top of the flagship series of talks at TEDx, there is also a TEDxAIR stage which is a platform for the Artist-In-Residence, and an activities Booth Room showcasing interesting people, products and organisations in Singapore. You’ll find a library booth with books (in various languages) to supplement the talks, a games booth where you can break the ice with other people at TEDxPickeringStreet, and also cultural performances to liven things up.
You’ll see speakers from a diverse range of organisations and companies tackling topics like awkward conversations (Angela Ognev, founder of Cut The Small Talk), spirituality in corporate leadership (Sreeram Iyer, COO of ANZ Bank) and more. For visual inspiration, check out visual creators and storytellers, HKURBEX, who will also be sharing stories behind abandoned sites in Singapore and Hong Kong.
If you’re set for an enriching weekend, TEDxPickeringStreet is one event you don’t want to miss out on. Get ready to share your own ideas with other people!
