Heirloom produce and homemade Spanish recipes come together at this affordable Spanish tapas joint at Orchard Central
Communal dining is always a joy – after all, the best accompaniment to good food is good company. And if you’re in the mood for Spanish food instead of your usual Chinese zi char dinner routine, we’ve got just the spot for you.
Brand new to Orchard Central’s lineup of casual restaurants is Tapas Club, an authentic Spanish tapas joint helmed by Spanish Executive Chefs, Jose Alonso and Manuel Berganza (the latter is a one-Star Michelin Chef). The restaurant brings together heirloom produce shipped directly from Spain and authentic Spanish recipes to create classic tapas dishes – all at prices that won’t leave you reeling in sticker shock.
Of course, this means you’ll have no reason not to feast on Tapas Club’s many classic dishes like the croquetas de setas (mushroom croquette and ham) and croquetas de Jamon (chicken and boiled eggs croquette). Other highlights include uncommon Spanish dishes like the tartar de atún, a cold almond soup with chunks of red tuna tartare served with tomato and avocado.
The Tapas+ menu offers diners larger portions like the grilled octopus with paprika oil (served with your choice of seven side dishes) and the fideuà negra, a squid ink fideo noodle paella with cuttlefish and alioli.
