With the SingapoRediscovers vouchers, you get to be a tourist in your own city without burning a hole in your pocket.
Heads up, deal hunters! We’ve got fab news for you. Singaporeans will receive $100 in tourism credits called SingapoRediscovers Vouchers to discover the best of the city’s local culture, heritage, nature, architecture and art. That’s right: The government is doling out $320 million worth of tourism credits to us from 1 December, so get psyched!
All you need to know about the SingapoRediscovers vouchers
All Singaporeans aged 18 and above will get $100 worth of digital vouchers. You can collect these credits via SingPass from 1 December – no need to get in line! The vouchers, offered in denominations of $10, can be used separately or all at once until the end of December 2021 (an extension from June). Redeem them from five authorised booking platforms: Changi Recommends, Trip.com, Klook, GlobalTix and Traveloka.
To make things easy for you, products that can be redeemed will have the voucher icon on these platforms. Just add your items to cart and click ‘Use SingapoRediscovers vouchers’ to pay when you checkout. You’ll then log in with your SingPass account and choose the voucher amount you’d like to use. Once the voucher code is generated, copy and paste it on the checkout page.
However, take note that your vouchers cannot be combined with someone else’s to buy the same product. And if you’re facing issues redeeming the vouchers online, you can head to physical locations across Singapore including community centres, SingPost outlets and selected malls for help.
The choices are limitless – you can spend the SingapoRediscovers vouchers at various places around the island. Currently, we’ve got over 200 hotels (staycations, here we come!), leisure attractions and local tour itineraries approved by the Singapore Tourism Board.
For Singaporeans who haven’t quite made it to 18, adults can still snag up to six children and youth tickets for attractions and tours at $10 off each from December to June next year.
This initiative will complement the $45 million SingapoRediscovers campaign launched by the Singapore Tourism Board in July to spotlight our eateries, shops, hotels and entertainment spots.

Wanna play tourist in your own country? Other highlights include discounts for tours, dining deals and shopping promos.
Go forth and explore
Even though we’re not jetting off on a holiday this year (thanks Covid-19!), there’s no reason to be cooped up at home. But it also works both ways, since overseas visitors won’t be arriving on our shores anytime soon. That means it’s up to us to support our own tourism sector, which has taken quite a blow since the pandemic arrived on impact.
Borders are still shut for leisure travel, so we’re getting our wanderlust fix through gorgeous globe-trotting films and stunning Instagram accounts that take us from Paris to New York to Tokyo.
The silver lining of it all? We’ve got plenty of incredible things to do in Singapore. We’re talking about fun times that won’t cost you a dime, unique attractions to take you off the beaten path, and secret spots just waiting to be unearthed. No more moping over lost vacation time!
