We love it when a Singapore brand punches above its weight and one of our favourite Singapore fashion labels In Good Company is doing just that on the international stage.
In Good Company is a Singapore fashion brand that’s quietly become one of the country’s best examples of #singaporestyle. Founded in December 2012, the brand has always had a very strong aesthetic of non-boring but very wearable womenswear – think simple dresses with enough quirk to make them stand out from the crowd or same-same fashion. The brand’s style is a combination of two designers’ specialties – Sven Tan’s sharp tailoring and Kane Tan’s elegant draping. The brand was even named Designer of the Year at the 2016 Singapore Fashion Awards. In Good Company also produces the cutest girls’ clothes, statement jewellery and recently launched menswear.
Already well established in Singapore, and with a global online store, In Good Company has pop-ups in a number of regional department stores too. Despite all the current success, the owners are slowly, but surely, taking over the world.

It’s just been announced that In Good Company has created a capsule collection especially for the staff of new hotel Andaz Singapore in collaboration with the hotel’s architect of The Upper House fame, André Fu from Hong Kong (shout out to more Asian success in the creative world).
The Andaz hotel is located in the middle of Kampong Glam, Little India and Bras Basah Bugis, and its name means ‘personal style’ in Hindi – perfectly appropriate for In Good Company’s own aesthetic. The hotel staff will have a number of pieces from the capsule collection to choose from so that there will be an overall ‘feel’ rather than a uniform.

On the heels of the Andaz collaboration, where the brand will be seen by people from all over the world, In Good Company has also announced that it will be opening a store in Manila too. The brand’s new Capsule 11 collection features a ‘modern utilitarian look, in an ultra-wearable way’, according to designer Sven Tan. The Manila store will also carry the brand’s super cool accessories which are all handmade. No news as to whether or not the children’s clothes will also be available.
It always so nice to be able to shout about the successes of our homegrown design stars. Here’s hoping that one day there’s an In Good Company store in every country.
