Join Anya on a hilarious and eye-opening journey as she confronts the expectations placed upon her by her tech CEO fiancé and her pastor father. Armed with animated infographics of her menstrual cycle, Anya sets out to prove her worth and save her relationship. But as she delves deeper into her own truth, she uncovers the complexities of toxic relationships and gender power dynamics. Psychobitch, written by Amanda Chong with dark wit and searing insight, and directed by Pam Oei, is a thought-provoking one-woman show starring Sindhura Kalidas. 3. Four Horse Road
4 August to 3 September 2023

After rave reviews from its 2018 run, this enthralling theatre production is set to take the stage again. Four Horse Road delves into buried stories and forgotten people, following real historical events that happened along Bras Basah Road. In this immersive show, audiences will follow one of six routes across two heritage shophouses where they’ll come face to face with an eclectic mix of characters from different time periods. Expect a range of genres from slapstick comedy to crime fiction to spooky suspense.

4. Somewhere…

If you’re a sucker for ‘will they, won’t they’ types of romance, this show is right up your alley. After a memorable one-night stand in Singapore, Sue proposes they never meet again, but fate has other plans. Fuelled by an irresistible urge, Bruce follows Sue to George Town, determined to win her over. As their journey unfolds, they confront challenges and discover new possibilities. Based on the play ‘Phoenix’, written by Scott Organ, and directed by Siddhant Lahiri, Somewhere is a dramedy that explores the power of love and courage.

8. Ronny Chieng Live

Get ready for a night of laughs as the quick-witted Ronny Chieng drops by our city for a one-night-only performance. Aside from starring in the American satirical news TV program, The Daily Show, Ronny has also kept himself busy on the silver screen, with cameos in Marvel’s Shang-Chi, M3gan, and more. We Will Rock You

Are you a fan of the rock band, Queen? Catch this rock concert-slash-musical. The reimagined production, directed and choreographed by Olivier Award nominee Nick Winston, presents 24 of Queen’s greatest hits. Sing along to favourites like Killer Queen, Under Pressure, We Are the Champions, Radio Ga Ga and, of course, We Will Rock You. The premise? Disney’s Frozen The Hit Broadway Musical

Frozen fans, strap on for a theatrical experience unlike any other. An Inspector Calls
From 2 March
Director Glen Goei reimagines the 1945 play ‘An Inspector Calls’, originally written by English dramatist J.B. Priestley. A middle-class family’s celebratory dinner is cut short thanks to the unexpected arrival of an inspector. Tensions arise as he investigates the death of a young woman. This results in a clash of morality, class and conscience. Undoubtedly, the play is still relevant today as it makes us reflect on the disparities of power and privilege. Quite a poignant play to catch.

Sarah Millican “Bobby Dazzler” Live in Singapore

Award-winning English comedian Sarah Millican makes her Asian debut with a one-night-only comedy act in Singapore. Expect a no holds barred recount of her life events – she shares the highs and lows of ageing, her sex life, and her experience with… haemorrhoids. It’s going to get real!

Brown Boys Don’t Tell Jokes

It’s not often that we explore the ebbs and flows of male friendships. Playwright Myle Yan Tay and director Huzir Sulaiman attempt to do so in this powerful play about the examination of friendship, race, and masculinity in our country. What happens when five friends – who are now a politician, a musician, an activist, an academic, and a therapist – reunite after years? Secrets are revealed, old conflicts are revisited, and loyalties are tested.

The Soldier & His Virtuous Wife

Joanna Dong, MengFM’s Cavin Soh and Ric Liu, and Sugie Phua star in this Mandarin comedy-musical. This modern adaptation of the traditional Yuan opera ‘Qiu Hu Flirts With His Wife’ is packed with campy musical theatre flair and modern references. The lives of Qiu Hu (Cavin Soh) and Mei Ying (Joanna Dong) take a turn when Qiu Hu is called to be enlisted in the army. In the meantime, local tyrant Master Li (Ric Liu) has his eye set on Mei Ying instead. How will the events conspire when Qiu Hu returns after 10 years? You’ll have to watch it for yourself.

Doubt: A Parable

Doubt: A Parable is a play that puts faith to the test where the will of a conversation nun and a progressive priest clash. Step back in 1964, Donald, the first black student at St. Nicholas Church School, finds himself caught in the middle. Feel the rhythm of Rent ’cause Jonathan Larson’s iconic masterpiece is hitting the stage.
