Oktoberfest 2018

Bavarian tradition meets Swiss hospitality at this year’s Oktoberfest at the Swiss Club. In case you’re wondering, there’s going to be five days of rousing dance music by the 10-piece ‘Musikkapelle Partenkirchen band (try saying that after a few drinks) by Munich with a whiskey and champagne bar and a special ‘Fest’ beer on tap. But the clincher has to be that buffet of German, Swiss and international favourites, including a *gasp* whole roast ox.

Kampong Boogie presents the Last Escape

Kampong Boogie’s throwing one last hurrah at Great Escape and you’re invited. Boogie down to funk, soul, groove, tropical, world music, afrobeat, hip-hop, house and disco (yup, there’s something for everyone) with MC SWTLKR and the Golden Mile all-stars. We hear that Joshua P from Nineteen80, Ulysses of Turf Club and CE LA VI’s Ramesh will be making an appearance.

After a long three years, Giraffage is back to bring the house down with refreshing beats from his album, Too Real. The San Francisco-based producer will be on set to deliver tracks like Maybes (ft. Japanese Breakfast) and Tell Me. The album takes sonic and stylistic cues from groundbreaking acts like Yellow Magic Orchestra, Haruomi Hosono, Soichi Terada, Interpol, and Radiohead.
