Hop on the interactive Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Trail and Siloso Trail using the District app to earn points and rise to the top of the leaderboard to win $50 vouchers!
Start the weekend with a nature adventure! There’s plenty to explore when you head out into Singapore’s pockets of greenery. From now till 31 December 2021, swing by two nature trails for a little adventure that lets you win a reward with the MSIG Biodiversity Mission. Read on for all the deets!
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Trail
Explore the vast beauty of nature at Singapore’s first ASEAN Heritage Park! The Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Trail is an important pitstop for migratory birds and you might spot them while you’re there. With mangroves, mudflats and forests, this nature trail is also home to other inhabitants like mudskippers, crabs, water snakes, monitor lizards, otters and more. Did you know that Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is home to the largest reptile in the world, the estuarine crocodile? Get your cameras ready – these animals may only show their faces for a moment!
Siloso Trail
Sentosa isn’t only home to beaches and sunset cocktails (though we’re all about that life, too). It is home to a variety of natural ecosystems. So, hop on the Siloso Trail for a peek into the incredible biodiversity the island has to offer. Explore the wild side of Sentosa and you might run into its resident peacocks, macaques, cicadas and other animals that call the island home. On this nature trail, keep an eye out for unique bird species and beautiful flora and fauna that’ll make amazing Instagram snaps.
Join the challenge
Jointly developed by MSIG Insurance and District, with content designed in partnership with Conservation International Asia-Pacific, the MSIG Biodiversity Mission features two interactive nature trails (Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Trail and Siloso Trail) and is free for the public to participate till 31 December 2021. Simply download the District app to sign in onsite at the trail locations and take on the in-app biodiversity quizzes to gain points.
Head out to the trails and answer the biodiversity quizzes correctly to score points on top of the standard and boost checkpoints! Plus, for every 1km travelled, 200 points will be awarded. Upon completion of the 60-minute mission, participants will receive an AR filter, which you can use to shout out your accomplishment on Facebook or Instagram. The top 10 scorers for each trail within the Challenge Period of 1 July to 31 August 2021 will win $50 sports vouchers each. The trails will also be refreshed with new questions and checkpoints in September – more reason to keep on going back for more insta-worthy shots!
