Cocktails, craft beer and Grandma’s recipes from Monaco. We’re in.
You know we like spending our time on Club Street, and if you’ve got a thing for craft beer or cocktails, here’s another reason for you to hang around too. Monte Carlo Boys is the latest cool bar to grace our shores, and by making its home right in the heart of the CBD, it’s obvious they mean business. Helmed by three high school best friends who proudly proclaim they have met the Prince of Monaco: Julien, William and Anthony offer a curated food menu featuring Monegasque dining delicacies and Monaco’s unique liquor.
In order to whet your appetite with their authentic cuisine, the boys have brought in their Grandma’s recipes. Indulge in Monaco specialties such as socca and barbajuans. Never heard of such dishes? That’s because Monte Carlo Boys is Monaco’s first establishment to set foot in Singapore (and by the way, socca is a chickpea flour crepe and barbajuans is fried ravioli stuffed with parmesan, chard, and pumpkin). Don’t miss out on the bar bites too, in particular, the 50 cent wings on Wednesdays.
‘Life is too short to drink bad beers and liquors’ is one of the boys’ life mottos and they’ve definitely proven their point with an extensive alcohol list, most of which hails from their region. On top of cocktails and beertails, the boys say you’ve got to try the signature Gin and Tonic ‘GinToCash’ or the several craft beers which come on draught and by the bottle.
Monte Carlo Boys has only been around a couple months, but we say it could just become the next hottest bar. Why book a plane ticket to Monaco, when you can enjoy Monaco here?
Monte Carlo Boys is open on Monday-Thursday (5pm-1am), Friday (12pm-1am) and Saturday (3pm-12am), closed on Sundays.
