Chef Chan Hon Meng from Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle will even make an appearance, serving his famous noodle dish at Town Restaurant’s dinner buffet
Chef Chan Hon Meng is definitely going places – from bagging his own Michelin star (the first hawker to ever do so) for his famous Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle, to opening his own quick-service restaurant on Smith Street called Hawker Chan following the hype. His next accolade? His own chef’s residency at arguably the grandest hotel in Singapore, The Fullerton.
From 1 to 10 June, not only will Chef Chan’s renowned noodles (this review feature will tell you why it’s so irresistibly good) be featured on the dinner buffet of Town Restaurant – The Fullerton’s flagship restaurant that’s brought down other celebrity chefs in the past – but you’ll also spot Chef Chan himself cooking behind the counter on selected dates.
These noodles are revered for its springy noodles, and tender, juicy, soy-glazed chicken that’s lured queues that stretch for hours. But why endure the wait when you can have it free-flow at this vast buffet, which also includes sushi and sashimi, desserts, and other local food like laksa? We’ll have 10 servings, please.
The dinner buffet takes place from 1 to 10 June 2017, 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. at $56 per adult and $28 per child from Sunday to Tuesday; $69 per adult with a seafood selection and $34 per child, or $89 per adult with free-flowing draught beer and Singapore Slings, and $44 per child from Wednesday to Saturday.
