To expand the already stellar lineup for the Singapore leg of Laneway Festival 2018, some local and regional acts will be coming onboard. While we had a great run of music festivals last year, Laneway Festival Singapore still remains the country’s most popular indie music festival happening on 27 January 2018.
While you can already make a date with indie rock and jangle-pop artist Mac Demarco, Anderson. Paak – who is known for his signature blend of ’60s funk, ’70s soul, hip-hop, R&B and electronica, and iconic shoegaze band Slowdive, make some time for some groundbreaking acts closer to home like post-rock group Amateur Takes Control, neo-soul-funk artist Tim De Cotta, rapper THELIONCITYBOY, hip-hop emcee and singer MAS1A and twee-pop band Obedient Wives Club.
Our neighbours will get some representation too, with folk-pop outfit from the Philippines, bedroom R&B artist alextbh who will taking his music to a bigger stage, and Indonesia’s alt-rock, shoegaze band HEALS. What a mix!
Bring out your most comfortable kicks and festival outfits – it’s time to get festival-ready for January!
