After three months of renovation works, Tiong Bahru Market is open for business again with all the hawker food you’ve missed
Without the cornerstone establishment that is Tiong Bahru Market, the hip, cafe-populated neighbourhood just hasn’t been the same. It’s been a long three months; we’ve been waiting on the renovation works on Tiong Bahru Market while deprived of our usual fix of chwee kueh, beef noodles, the famous Tiong Bahru Lor Mee and other local hawker fare.
But the waiting period is over – the Tiong Bahru Market in Singapore’s hippest district is finally ready for patronage again.
The Tiong Bahru Market reopened on Saturday, 20 May, after it was closed three months ago to undergo repairs and renovation works. But it’s good to have them back in the game again, making this iconic hood livelier and lovelier (with a new coat of paint) again. Well then, you know what to do for breakfast plans this weekend. Same address, same building – just looking fresher.
