Leave it to Noden to leave you drooling over damn good Danish designs. Since mid-century modern everything is #trending big time, look to local indie store Noden. Vintage enthusiasts Marko Yeo and Tawan Conchonnet search the far and wide for Danish and Scandinavian modern classics. And what we get is a treasure trove of vintage furniture in beautiful old wood. Take your pick – pieces from the ‘50s all the way to ‘70s made by world-renowned designers Hans Wegner, Børge Mogensen, and Ynge Ekstrom. We can’t simply talk about furniture without mentioning everyone’s fave meatball serving, flat-pack lovin’ furniture store Ikea. It’s no secret, Singaporeans are big fans for this Swedish superstore and with good reason. Its range is high on functionality and aesthetics, totally versatile (not to mention, cutting-edge) and pretty darn affordable. Storage solutions, couches, kiddie furniture, beds, dinner tables, kitchen islands, loungers, outdoor furniture… hell, if you can think, you’ll probably find it at Ikea. Lugging your haul home from Tampines or Alexandra Road and putting it together stresses you out? Don’t worry, you can also shop online, have them delivered and assembled at home for a little extra cash. PS: Have you checked out Ikea’s brighter, wilder and no-so-Scandi ranges?
