Looks like Singapore's obsession with froyo is staying a while. If you can't stand in line for the uber popular llaollao, here are more spots hit up for the dessert
Like many who patiently wait for a fix of llaollao’s milky goodness, we adore the Spanish brand for its cold dessert. But let’s face it, we can’t always afford the time to join the long, snaking queue for the gratifying Sanum. It’s not the end of the world, people! Here, we round up plenty of other spots to get a mean cup of frozen yogurt in Singapore. For all you know, you just might discover a new favourite sitting in this list.
llaollao
Mention the words ‘frozen yogurt’ and the super popular Spanish brand llaollao is bound to pop into everyone’s head. Top it with whatever you like, but we recommend the Raffallao sauce with caramelised sunflower seeds.
llaollao, #B1-02 Wisma Atria, 435 Orchard Road, Singapore 238877.
Yoğart
Tuck into artisanal frozen yogurt at one of the newest froyo stores in town. The dessert, together with the accompanying sauces, is freshly made in-house. On offer you’ll also find popsicles and waffles (with froyo and fruits).
Yoğart, #01-56 Burlington Square, 175 Bencoolen Street, Singapore 189649, p. 6238 0135.
Beegurt
This outlet at Thomson V Two specialises in frozen yogurt with raw honeycomb imported from New Zealand. Top it with their frozen fruit toppings for a refreshing post-workout treat!
Beegurt, #01-21 Thomson V Two, 11 Sin Ming Road, Singapore 575629, p. 9247 1598.
Sogurt
Sogurt goes by a DIY concept so grab a cup and fill it up with whatever you like, from flavours like green apple to red velvet cake. Then head on over to the toppings counter to choose the best treats (we can’t get enough of the mango burst – tiny little ikura-like balls filled with mango juice) before making payment (goes by weight).
Sogurt, 617 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 269718, p. 6468 8940.
Yami Yogurt
One of the long-standing yogurt brands on the list, Yami Yogurt puts out amazingly creamy (not too tarty) froyo. They have weekly flavours but generally, their natural and peach options are real crowd-pleasers.
Yami Yogurt, #B2-08 Plaza Singapura, 68 Orchard Road, Singapore 238839, p. 6884 5652.
Berrylite
Made fresh daily and from milk instead of powder, Berrylite’s fat and gluten-free froyo comes in over 50 flavours, ranging from the ever-popular original tart to strawberry cheesecake.
Berrylite, #05-03 Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street, Singapore 188067.
Nookie Yogurt
Homegrown brand Nookie is all about the interesting flavours, so skip the boring original choices and order stuff like the red velvet parfait, mango sticky rice, and matcha black sesame crumble.
Nookie Yogurt, #01-04 PoMo, 1 Selegie Road, Singapore 188306, p. 9833 1790.
Yoguru
Choose from five flavours (original, blueberry, Yogubliss, strawberry, and coconut) and go crazy with the medley of toppings. Almond crumbs, Kit-Kat chunks, Honey Stars, dried cranberries, even mocha – the possibilities are endless. If you prefer, switch your cup of froyo out for a YoguSmoothie.
Yoguru, #B1-13 Great World City, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, Singapore 237994, p. 6836 6253.
Red Mango
It’s one of Singapore’s most underrated frozen yogurt shops, but it really serves simple, good froyo. Get the original flavour and top it with chewy, delish bits of nata de coco.
Red Mango, #B2-01 Marina Bay Link Mall, 8A Marina Boulevard, Singapore 018984.
