If you look past the staged beauty of Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by The Bay and the glass skyscrapers of the CBD, you’ll realise there’s a lot about Singapore’s society that we take for granted – and here is where he comes in. Old aunties and uncles slogging away, mundanities suspended in time, unnamed alleyways – all of these topics have become Aik Beng Chia’s forte.
