Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix season is upon us! In just a few days, we’ll be watching Formula 1 cars tearing up our street circuit. We’ll also be welcoming a ton of people from all over the world who’ll be dedicating their whole weekend to the high-octane festivities. And if you need ideas on how to occupy your time before night falls, let us help you plan your days.
A weekend guide to the 2023 Formula 1 Singapore GP
1. Everything to plan before coming to Singapore

Before we get into all the exciting activities ahead of us for the Formula 1 weekend, let’s talk logistics. First, secure your tickets. The Grand Prix offers a slew of hospitality packages that’ll turn the weekend into a luxurious affair. You can get access to areas like the Vista Suite, Sky View Pavilion, Paddock Club, and lounges dotted around various turns. We’re happy to report that there are wheelchair-accessible platform seats available too.
Whether you’re flying into Singapore or just looking to treat yourself for the season, nothing beats a good staycay. There are a ton of hotels littered around the street circuit. So if you weren’t lucky enough to get your tickets to the race action, you can always catch views of it from your hotel room. Go all out with five-star spots full of opulence, or hit up boutique hotels if you need to save a couple of bucks. The possibilities are endless.
2. Friday: Warming up into the practice sessions

While the drivers are heating up the streets for their warm-ups, take the time to explore the city before the gates open for the day’s festivities. Thanks to the convenience of our public transport system, MRTs and buses can take you through a multitude of neighbourhoods. Most hotels are in the city, so you’ll be conveniently located within the heart of Singapore. Hit up Orchard Road, Clarke Quay, Ann Siang Hill, or Duxton Hill as they sit a stone’s throw away and are packed with restaurants, bars and shops.
After a morning gander around town, Level33 has some exciting new menu items in celebration of the race weekend. Stuff yourself with wagyu bone-in sirloin, whole Spanish turbot, and king crab legs. Pair it with a two-hour free-flow dinner package that’ll have you sipping on beer, prosecco, wines, and cocktails. For a true taste of Singapore, sample the chilli crab at Jumbo Signatures. It’s an experience to get messy when eating crab, but this sophisticated take is a great introduction to chilli and black pepper crab.
If you aren’t planning to catch the Formula 1 drivers’ meet and greet at 3.45pm, take the time to explore the F1 Village. You’ll find several stalls selling street food and drinks to fuel you through the exhilarating hours. Explore the other zones to catch performances by Dreebsby or DJ Jamie Hall. Afterwards, take to your seats to watch the practice sessions unfold. And don’t forget that Jackson Wang, Niki, and Rich Brian will be playing at the Zone 4 Padang Stage at 10pm!
3. Saturday: Take pole position at the best parties

Planning to sleep in on Saturday? Not to worry, because there’ll be plenty of activities waiting for you once you manage to roll out of bed. Make a pit stop at The Summerhouse where you can live out your very own Formula 1 dreams. Teaming up with Heineken, racing simulators have been set up at Wildseed Bar. All you have to do is order a main dish and a pint of Heineken for a chance to get behind the wheel.
If beer doesn’t tickle your fancy, pop by modern Thai restaurant Hue for highballs. Win the Fast & Furious challenge and you’ll get a great deal on your next round. If you order your second highball within 30 minutes of the first one, you’ll enjoy it at half price. Otherwise, there are plenty of Formula 1-themed brunches at spots like Monti and Lavo to enjoy.
Qualifying rounds only begin at 9pm, so you have a couple of choices on what to do until then. But we say stay close to the action: after witnessing the practice session at 5.30pm, take your time to circle the various zones. Catch roving performances by Brazilian Fantasy, Brylights, and Hummingbirds as you grab your next meal.
We’re also reminding ourselves to stay punctual because Post Malone will be performing at the Zone 4 Padang Stage afterwards! For anyone in search of alternative after-parties, we say hit up Zouk, Marquee or Amber Lounge. No matter which one you turn to, they’ll be raves to remember.
4. Sunday: To the finish line!

We hope you aren’t hungover because come Sunday, the highlight of the Formula 1 Singapore GP commences. Pad your stomach with delectable dishes at Botanico’s longest Sunday brunch. You’ll be feasting in style with an array of live stations, order-on-demand mains, and all-you-can-eat oysters.
If you’d prefer to sleep in, give brunch a miss and head straight to 1-Altitude Coast instead. The Final Track party starts at 4pm and sees fan favourites DJ Shai, Faith, and Knrck mixing up bops from genres like hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and Afrobeat tracks.
Don’t party too hard because the drivers’ parade starts at 6pm. We always get a kick out of seeing the likes of Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and Daniel Ricciardo trotted out in vintage classics. Stay close to your seats because the final race begins at 8pm, and we can’t imagine missing anything. Whether your favourite team wins or not, you can sing your heart out to Robbie Williams by 10.30pm.
To end off this high energy weekend, party your heart out immersed in the vibrant nightlife of the Lion City. Head up 57 floors to Ce La Vi where Japanese-born DJ Apsara fires up the dance floor. Expect his mix of house, trance, and techno beats to take you through the wee hours of the night.
You can get similarly glorious views of the city at Vue’s Grand Prix Party. Standing cocktail tables will be surrounded by live carving stations, charcuterie and cheese counters, and even a risotto booth. Top it off with live music and it’s the perfect way to end your F1 experience.
And that’s your Formula 1 Singapore GP 2023 weekend sorted!
