There’s no better way to celebrate dear dad than with a sumptuous buffet, and Estate sure delivers on that. Think charcuterie, sashimi, sushi and all the freshly shucked oysters your heart desires. Asian and Western handcrafted noodles are also served, but we say don’t miss out on the wok, fry and barbecue selection. Stuff yourself silly with black truffle roasted duck, Szechuan-style chicken, meat skewers and honey soy-glazed Australian short ribs. When you’re finally done with the savouries, move on to desserts like cheesecake and mango-infused jasmine cake.

2. Ginger at Parkroyal on Beach Road

In the mood for Peranakan? Head to this halal-certified dining destination for a lush buffet spread. From buah keluak fried rice and stir-fried laksa to Nonya curry chicken and braised wagyu beef rendang, the feast has plenty to fill you up. End off with bubur cha cha for bites of sweet potato, yam and sago swimming in coconut milk. If you’re celebrating good ‘ol dad, make your reservation in June. All fathers will enjoy a complimentary wagyu beef don with onsen egg and dine for free (accompanied by three paying guests).

If you’re going for contemporary Chinese, you can’t go wrong with a meal at this elegant restaurant. The spectacular four-course menu starts with a barbecued platter and premium dim sum platter showcasing items like double-glazed barbecued pluma Iberico pork and the quail egg, Iberico pork and black truffle siu mai. Next up is the luxe fish maw, conpoy and garoupa soup.
For mains, take your pick from a selection of king prawns with fresh scallop and minced pork, white asparagus with crab meat, or wok-fried black cod. Finally, dessert is a combination of guava soup with sago and pomelo, served with a mango and coconut glutinous rice roll.

4. Fat Cow

For an exquisite Japanese meal to celebrate the man of the hour, head to Fat Cow. The special three-course lunch set shines a spotlight on a classic dish made with Miyazaki wagyu. The star of the show is a beautifully marbled steak that’s grilled and topped with shishito peppers, served with a house-made ginger sauce. To accompany the main, you’ll enjoy kanpachi yuanyaki (grilled fish fillet), the restaurant’s signature “fat rice” (made with kombu, truffle and wagyu fat), mixed vegetable stew and momotaro salad. End it off with sakura panna cotta and a scoop of peach ice cream.

5. Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Centre

Make a date with dad for a semi-buffet brunch at Racines. If he’s a fan of seafood, he’ll love the platter of fresh oysters, little neck clams, chilled Hokkaido clams and rock lobster. After you’re done nibbling on unlimited cheese varieties, charcuterie, sushi and dim sum, it’s time to pick your choice of main. Standouts include French chicken, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and angus steak frites.
