Dial up the glow with useful skincare tricks

Every morning, I will rinse my face with hot and cold water interchangeably, as a quick perk-me-up and to improve blood circulation.
– Eeva Wan
My best everyday beauty tip would be using a night mask. You sleep at least a quarter of your life away so make the most out of it by using an anti-ageing or hydrating mask before snoozing.
– Fiona Pan
I know this is really basic, but putting on sunblock is a must – even if you’re at home. It’s just a nice protective layer to have, and to shield your face from all the harmful rays. I genuinely find a huge difference in including sunblock into my routine. Moisturiser and sunblock is a must at the very least if you only have the bare amount of time to get ready. It only takes three minutes. Everyone has three minutes!
– Cherilyn Wo
Listen to your skin and have a consistent routine

A brand’s transparency is important. Read up on the ingredients of the product because you’re putting them on your skin.
– Seri Nabilah
Listen to your skin. Don’t just follow a trend to follow a trend. Adjust to what your skin needs and be patient for the results.
– Jennifer Gustafsson
My everyday beauty tip is consistency and being confident. Whether you’re using home remedies to up your skincare routine or using expensive skincare, it’s all about maintaining it consistently so that you can see the results. If you’re comfortable in your own skin, any type of makeup will flaunt your personality!
– Cynthia Kim
How to make your face pop

Game changing mascara hack: Take a small dense brush and apply some translucent powder onto the ends of your lower lashes to prevent any mascara fallouts. Now say bye-bye to the ugly smudges under your eyes!
– Mandy Koh
Brows can truly change your whole look. So it is important to get professional advice to shape it if you can’t tell how to shape it yourself.
– Shernne Wong
Invest in some great all-purpose colour sticks that you can use [them] on your cheeks, eyes, and lips to make travelling with makeup so much easier.
– Brianne Knowles
Have you tried any of these beauty trends?
My favourite beauty trend, especially living in a hot and humid country, is the wide range of ultralight foundations now available. We are spoilt for choice with tinted moisturisers or light-tinted fluid foundations that still manage to smooth out imperfections.
– Louise Hill
No makeup makeup look for zoom calls working from home.
– Amy Tay

I’ve been really into the beauty roller trend where people use face rollers, usually made out of crystals, to get better blood circulation on their faces. It’s my favourite because I remember my mum used to do the beauty roller trend before it became a trend many many years ago. I remembered how much I ridiculed her as I didn’t think there were any actual benefits to it and that it was all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. It wasn’t until this trend took off that I actually tried it for myself. Even though it took some time getting used to, there are actual benefits to it that I could see. And might I add, it’s also quite relaxing as you’re basically just giving your face a massage.
– Mellissa Tan
Minimalist beauty! (Using fewer products but seeing the most effective results from them.)
– Jae Toh
The updated French manicure with brightly coloured tips.
– Keryn Wong

Lash extensions! Makes a huge difference to your face and doesn’t require any more makeup. A quick way for those who don’t have a lot of time to get ready.
– Riya Khanna
Acids, acids and acids! Love how there is more talk on skincare ingredients, and how different acids (especially brands like The Ordinary) help deal with varying skin issues. I’ve been having acne issues for a while and once I switched to salicylic acid, it greatly improved my breakout problem.
– Qin Yuan Low

Skincare first. We are increasingly coming to realise that flawless makeup starts with beautiful skin. Instead of solely focusing on covering up imperfection, we can now shift to enhancing our skin and features. I also love that skincare is also starting to be something that’s celebrated as self-care instead of something additional or unnecessary.
– Jovina Goh
Right now, with our mask on, eyebrows on fleek and eyelash extensions are a must. Apply a thin layer of tinted moisturiser with SPF. Such an effortless look, yet you’re still able to look gorgeous!
– Vicky Lim
Sustainable packaging and self-care FTW
My favourite beauty trend is moving towards more sustainable packaging. As more people become aware of the consequences of plastic waste, I am glad that more beauty brands are initiating the recycling of plastic beauty bottles or finding ways to use less plastic in their packaging.
– Charlene Pang
Sustainable packaging is one of my favourites. With the increased awareness to care for our planet, some beauty brands have switched to using earth-friendly, recyclable materials for their packaging. Frankly speaking, a lot of beauty brands use excessive packaging. Although it’s beautiful to look at for a few minutes, in the end, they contribute a whole lot of waste to the environment.
– Carmen Choe
Increased awareness and concrete steps being taken by brands and retailers to cater to various communities, and being mindful of the needs of different ethnicities, skin tone and body type.
– Xin Jie Lee
