The Studios is putting the spotlight on Singapore artists and their stories of the human condition with a season of local theatre productions.
Themed ‘The weight of a stone in a pocket’, the season includes productions which touch on topics like racism, family politics and love. The lineup includes the noteworthy Cake’s Rubber Girl on the loose, Miss British by The Art of Strangers, Neo Kim Seng’s personal account growing up in My Grandfather’s Road (RHDS), as well as revivals of Eleanor Wong’s Mergers and Accusations. RAW is also making a comeback this year with Bani Haykal’s experiment in machine intelligence and art in Machine Empathy Crash Course.
