Following the wild success of Sotong Game Season 1 at The Secret Patio, held over 3 sold-out nights in October 2021, the same team is now thrilled to announce the Sotong Game 2 pop-up. Inspired by the hit Korean Netflix show (season 2), but adding a local spin (and for avoidance of copyright infringement), this interactive dining event is back for a bigger run at the new sister venue, The Secret Haven @ Mt Sophia, to be held on 7-9 February 2025.
The immersive experience of Sotong Game 2 will start as soon as the online sign-up is completed. An envelope with a secret letter and the iconic name card will be mailed via post to the player’s home address for their next step in the game. On the day of the event, The Secret Haven will be transformed into a game arena, with players seated in groups of 4 to participate in activities based on local childhood toys and games. Adding to the atmosphere will be a squad of guards in full costume, and life sized setups for photo opportunities. But beware, the guards stand ready to dole out ‘punishment’ to those who do not comply with instructions. Blood will be drawn, we guarantee it.
Naturally, games must come with prizes. Unfortunately, the venue management team were not able to profit from crypto trading to conjure up 45.6 billion Korean won. Instead, piggy banks were raided to come up with a special prize for the winner… (Perhaps successful players could even make a return as guards. Who knows?)
Players need not fight over limited rations, however, as each player’s admission fee entitles them to a 3-course dinner inspired by actual meals and food items seen on the show. It’s a meal good enough to be your last – but players should rest assured that the cutlery provided will be (mostly) non-lethal…or will it?
