The Singapore International Jazz Festival returns for its fourth year at Marina Bay Sands from 31 March to 2 April 2017. Keeping with the tradition of curating mega lineups, you can bet that Sing Jazz is one-upping itself yet again with a stellar bevy of local and international musicians.
Get ready to be starry-eyed, because kicking off on Friday night (31 March) is none other than homegrown jazz maestro, Aaron James Lee Trio, followed by British DJ Gilles Peterson with the Zara McFarlane Band featuring Nubya Garcia and MC Earl Zinger before closing the night with critically-acclaimed crooner, Corinne Bailey Rae. Other huge names in the roster the following night are local blues group Raw Earth, Ray Parker Junior, Grammy Award winner Esperanza Spalding and Youssou Ndour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar for a groovy trip down funk avenue. Closing the festival on Sunday is Adam Hall and The Velvet Playboys featuring Alemay Fernandez, Nik West, singer-songwriter and guitarist, Raúl Midón Trio, and the hitman himself, David Foster. Stay tuned for Foster’s famed entourage of “Friends” (a squad made up of titans like Brian McKnight, Chaka Khan, Thirdstory, Dira Sugandi and Nick Zavior) that promises to end this music bonanza with a bang.
Pre-sale tickets start from $108, and bundle packages (with access to both main stage and The Late Show) from $178. Also available is the Full Festival Pass ($288) which gives access to 30 hours of music at both The Main Stage and The Late Show on all days.
