Sake Festival Singapore 2019, organised by Orihara Shoten, will be held at Suntec City Convention Centre on Level 4 – Hall 406, on Saturday 22 June 2018 from 1pm to 6pm (with strict last admissions at 4:30pm). This is the biggest portfolio of sake and Japanese liquor gathered at one place for tasting in Southeast Asia.
Besides having the chance to be the first to taste new-to-market sake and rare seasonal bottlings among the over 460 different labels, visitors can look forward to their hunger pangs catered to by popular Japanese restaurants Nirai-Kanai, Kajiken & Kamoshita. An exciting Wanko Soba Challenge will be held by yakitori restaurant, Yatagarasu, where after balloting, lucky participants (with a nominal charge) can challenge themselves to eating as many bowls of the Iwate specialty soba as they can, within a set time limit.
For the first time, all payments will be transacted through the official event wristbands. Visitors can top-up their wristbands at their own time for the purpose of making purchases. Kindly note refund on any unutilised balance will not be possible.
Special-edition sake cups will be given out to the first 1,000 visitors to arrive. So, visitors are encouraged to join the festival early.
Tickets can be purchased online from SISTIC at $40 per ticket (before ticketing charges) at http://sistic.com.sg/events/sake0619 or in person from Orihara Shoten Bar at Robertson Walk (Tel: 6836 5710 – open from 6pm Monday to Saturday). Other enquiries can be directed to 6224 0445. Tickets at the door on the day of the event will be priced at $50 per ticket.
Visitors to the festival are advised not to drive and persons below 18 years old will not be permitted entry (children and infants included).
